Abstract

The invention relates to a finishing part (10), comprising a transparent or semi-transparent plastic substrate (11) and a semi-transparent decorative coating (12) applied to all or part of the substrate (11), the semi-transparent decorative coating (12) comprising a semi-transparent reflective metallic layer (14) composed of chromium, copper, or aluminum, and a transparent or semi-transparent interference layer (15) composed of silicon, superimposed on the reflective metallic layer (14), each of the reflective metallic layer (14) and the interference layer (15) having a predetermined thickness to together impart to the finishing part (10) a predetermined interference color in reflection as well as a predetermined light transmission.
