DEVICE FOR DETECTING THE ACTIVATION OF AN INTERIOR SIDE DOOR HANDLE ON A VEHICLE

Abstract

A detection device (DD) is associated with an interior handle (PI1) which is rotatably mounted on a support piece (PS) of a lockable side door of a vehicle. The device triggers the unlocking of the door when the handle is rotated inwards. The device includes an analysis unit that prevents unlocking upon receiving a pre-selected signal and detecting the presence of an object or living being within the vehicle's environment. The detection device (DD) comprises an interface piece (PI2) positioned near the interior handle (PI1) that moves from a first position to a second position when the handle (PI1) begins to rotate. A detector (DT) is fixedly attached to the support piece (PS), to which the interface piece (PI2) is coupled.
