Abstract

The invention relates to a device (1) and a method for testing the leak-tightness of a container comprising a flange defining an opening closed by a door, said device (1) comprising a housing (2) including a cavity (3) delimited by an internal wall (4) and an opening leading into the cavity (3), connection means configured to allow the housing (2) and the container to be connected to each other, an annular sealing gasket (5) disposed around the perimeter of the internal wall (4) to ensure a seal between the housing (2) and the container after their connection, the sealing gasket (5) comprising a retractable wall defining, in its resting state, a predetermined internal volume (7), said retractable wall being configured to retract into the internal volume (7) when the latter is subjected to depressurization.
