Method for predicting the failure of a vehicle component

Abstract

The present invention relates to a method for predicting the failure of a vehicle component. For this purpose, operating parameters of the component are received (31). Results from experimental tests on the same type of component are obtained (32). User feedback on the same type of component is obtained (33). A first failure prediction of the component is obtained (34) as the output of a failure prediction model, and data representing user feedback on the component are obtained (35) following the first failure prediction, the prediction model being adjusted (36) according to the data. The adjusted prediction model is fed with new operating parameters to predict (37) a second failure prediction used to transmit (38) a failure alert. Figure for the abstract: Figure 3
