Abstract

SETUP FOR OPENING AN INDUCTIVE CIRCUIT, METHOD FOR OPENING SUCH A CIRCUIT, STATIC CIRCUIT BREAKER, SWITCHING POWER SUPPLY AND AIRCRAFT. One aspect of the invention relates to a setup (M) for opening a circuit comprising an inductive load, the setup comprising: a main switch (C1); and a surge suppressor (S), the setup (M) being notable in that it comprises a control device (D) configured to: connect the surge suppressor in parallel with the main switch (C1) when it is commanded to close or is in a closed state, for example, before the latter is about to open; and disconnect the surge suppressor (S) from the main switch (C1) when the main switch (C1) is open and when a measurement of an electrical characteristic in the circuit corresponds to the end of energy storage by the inductive load.
