Abstract

Method for controlling a regenerative braking system and associated controller. The invention relates to a method for controlling a regenerative braking system of a vehicle comprising: determining a critical temperature of a first electric motor, as a function of physical parameters of the regenerative braking system, the kinetic energy of said vehicle, the battery storage capacity, a thermal model of the first electric motor, and the maximum deceleration of the vehicle; and reducing the performance of the first electric motor of the regenerative braking system if the effective temperature of the electric motor reaches a limit temperature determined as a function of said critical temperature.
