INTERNAL TEMPERATURE MONITORING OF AN ELECTRIC POWERTRAIN OF A HYBRID POWERTRAIN OF A VEHICLE

Abstract

A method is implemented in a vehicle comprising a powertrain with suitable thermal and electric drive machines coupled to an automated gearbox to supply it with thermal and electric motor torques, respectively. This electric drive machine has a three-phase stator and a rotor. This method includes a step (10-50) in which, when the internal temperature of the electric drive machine exceeds a first chosen threshold while at least some electric motor torque is supplied to the gearbox, the three phases are short-circuited, and thermal engine torque is supplied to the gearbox with one of its gears engaged.
