RECOVERTATIVE BRAKING SYSTEM AND ASSOCIATED METHOD

Abstract

Regenerative braking system (2) for motor vehicle (1) comprising an electric machine (3), a drive shaft (4) and a traction battery, said system (2) intervening during a phase of recovery of the kinetic energy of said vehicle (1) and comprising an electric machine management computer (5) and a deceleration level control device (6) communicating with the electric machine management computer (5), said electric machine management computer (5) controlling the electric machine (3) to apply a resisting torque (CR) on the drive shaft (4) of the vehicle (1) according to the deceleration level (ND) transmitted to said computer (5) by the control device (6).The deceleration level (ND) is selected from an interval comprising a multitude of deceleration levels, the interval constituting a continuous zone delimited by a higher deceleration level and a lower deceleration level, each point in this continuous zone belonging to one of the many deceleration levels.
