Abstract

This thermal powertrain (4) for a motor vehicle (2) comprises: - an air intake circuit (14); - a combustion gas exhaust circuit (16); and - a combustion gas recirculation circuit (18) from the combustion gas exhaust circuit (16) to the air intake circuit (14). The combustion gas exhaust circuit (16) includes an exhaust valve (42) configured to at least partially close the combustion gas exhaust circuit (16), and a baffle (38) located downstream of the exhaust valve (42). The distance between an upstream end (38a) of the baffle (38) and the exhaust valve (42) is less than the distance between a downstream end (38b) of the baffle (38) and a downstream end (10b, 11) of the combustion gas exhaust circuit (16).
