Multi-source gas supply installation and pneumatic inverter

Abstract

Title of the invention: Gas supply installation with multiple gas sources and pneumatic reversing switch. The invention relates to a gas supply installation (1) for supplying gas, in particular a medical gas, to a gas pipeline (2) carrying the gas within a hospital establishment comprising two pressurized gas sources (10, 11), and a pneumatic reversing switch (3) comprising a reversing switch body (30) including an internal chamber (310) with gas inlets and outlets (40, 41, 42); and a piston element (320) movable within the internal chamber (310) between two distinct stable positions (P1, P2), allowing or preventing gas from entering from the pressurized gas sources (10, 11), through either of the gas inlets (40, 41). The piston element (320) is pneumatically movable from one position to another (P1, P2), and vice versa, under the effect of the pressurized gas coming from one or the other of the gas sources (10, 11).Use of the installation (1) to supply the gas network (4) of a hospital establishment.
