Tele-injection dart and method of projecting an assembly with such a dart

Abstract

The present invention relates to a self-actuating tele-injection dart (5) for a dart launcher (2), comprising a hollow tube (10) with a first chamber (12) for containing a liquid drug product, a needle (20) in fluidic communication with the first chamber (12), a piston (11) for pushing the drug product towards the needle (20) upon impact, a mechanical or chemical means for exerting a force on the rear face (14) of the piston (11), and a fletching (31) with fins (33) forming a rotating element allowing the dart (5) to rotate about its longitudinal axis (X) as it exits the barrel (3) of the launcher (2).
