Abstract

The invention relates to a method for detecting an open circuit between a traction battery and an electric motor of a hybrid vehicle's powertrain during driving. The method comprises a step of measuring the first voltage (E1) at the output of the traction battery by the battery management system; a step of measuring the second voltage (E2) at the terminals of the electric motor by the computer; a calculation step (E3) according to the following mathematical formula; a step of detecting the open circuit (E4) by the supervisor when the deviation calculated during said calculation step is equal to or greater than a predetermined threshold value for a period of time exceeding a predetermined period; and a reconfiguration step (E5) when the open circuit has been detected.
