Abstract
A self-piloted synchronous rotating electric machine comprising a stator (10) equipped with coils, a rotor (1) fixed to a central shaft (2) and whose periphery is equipped with permanent magnets (3) or magnetized segments, the stator (10) / rotor (1) assembly being integrated into a housing. The rotating electric machine includes a magnetic ring (20) for assisting braking and immobilizing the rotor (1), said magnetic ring (20) being fixed to the housing (40), oriented perpendicularly to the shaft (2) of the rotor (1) and mounted on the latter via a bearing (30), and in that the magnetic ring (20) is divided into angular segments located inside the housing and positioned opposite the permanent magnets (3) or magnetized segments of the rotor (1), each segment being magnetized and having a polarization different from the adjacent segments.
