Abstract

Tooling for the localized heat treatment of a welded part and associated method for relieving weld stresses using this tooling. The invention relates to tooling (1) for the localized heat treatment of a metal part having a weld bead to be relieved of stress. The tooling comprises a bracket (2) having a fixed jaw (4), a movable jaw (5) that moves away from or towards the fixed jaw, and a guide assembly (6) for this movement. The fixed jaw and the movable jaw each have a pad (15) and a clamping element (19). The two pads are mounted opposite each other and can be moved towards or away from each other, with their respective clamping elements pushing them together when actuated. Each pad is equipped with a support plate (25) and a heating element that heats the support plate, the two support plates being arranged opposite each other.Figure to be published with the abbreviation: Figure 1.
