Abstract

SALT SINTERING PROCESS The present invention relates to a process for sintering salt of the formula Na1-xMgx / 2Cl, where x is a number between 0.001 and 0.5, to obtain a piece of said salt, the process comprising the following steps: grinding the salt to obtain a powder with a particle size less than or equal to that of the salt; vibrating the ground powder in a mold; compacting the powder obtained at a pressure between 600 bar and 800 bar to form a compacted piece; heating the compacted piece to a temperature between 600°C and 750°C for a period of between 2 and 20 hours.
