Ion ejection device with homogeneous gas distribution

Abstract

This disclosure relates to a Hall effect propulsion device (100) comprising: - an annular channel (103); - a magnetic circuit (102); - an anode (120) positioned inside the annular channel, the anode (120) comprising one or more gas diffusion orifices (123) connecting the cavity (121) of the anode to an ionization and acceleration zone (110) and a plurality of gas injection openings (122); - a homogenization chamber (150) having the function of receiving the gas from a gas distribution circuit and homogenizing the gas before distributing it within the anode; - an injection tube (112) extending from each injection opening (122) of the anode and opening into the chamber (150) to draw gas from the chamber and inject it into the cavity (121) of the anode for gas diffusion into the ionization zone (110) of the annular channel.
