HAIR QUALITY ASSESSMENT

Abstract

HAIR QUALITY ASSESSMENT Techniques for performing hair quality assessments are described. In one example, a set of attributes associated with a subject's hair is determined, where the attribute set includes at least one of hair shine, hair color intensity, hair alignment, and hair friction (302). A first hair vitality parameter is then determined based on a first subset of attributes including at least one of hair shine and hair color intensity (304). Next, a second hair vitality parameter is determined based on a second subset of attributes including at least one of hair alignment and hair friction (306).A hair vitality index is then evaluated based on the first hair vitality parameter and the second hair vitality parameter, where the hair vitality index is indicative of hair quality (308).
