Abstract

The invention relates to a security document (1) comprising: - a substrate (2) comprising a paper layer (11) having a first face (5) and a second face (6), opposite the first face (5), - a first protective film (3) covering the first face (5) of the paper layer (11), - a second protective film (4) covering the second face (6) of the paper layer (11), wherein the first protective film (3) has an outer face (17), having at least one rough area (18) having a first arithmetic mean roughness in the range of 0.4 to 2 micrometers (µm) and at least one smooth area (19) having a second arithmetic mean roughness, lower than the first arithmetic mean roughness and in the range of 0.1 to 0.4 micrometers (µm).
