Abstract

The invention relates to an autonomous underwater energy system that exploits ocean temperature gradients to produce electricity via an Organic Rankine Cycle (ORC). This system relies on advanced thermal storage using a phase-change material (PCM) and a closed-loop heat transfer circuit ensuring optimized heat transfer. The submersible is equipped with passive ballast, allowing for natural ascent and descent without energy consumption, as well as an adaptive hydrodynamic stabilization system. The electricity produced is transported via a flexible power cable with a dynamic reel, guaranteeing continuous transmission to an offshore base or collector vessel. The invention can be integrated into forward operating bases, repurposing oil platforms to ensure energy sovereignty and the strategic security of national and continental infrastructure.It represents an alternative to nuclear and fossil fuel power plants, offering clean, stable and secure electricity.
