Abstract

Tubular photobioreactor (1) for a culture of phototrophic microorganisms, comprising a serpentine reaction tubing (10) which includes a succession of tubes (12) having a tube diameter (D1) and a tube length (L1), joined end to end by elbows (13) to be distributed in a stepped manner along a vertical axis (Z), said tubular photobioreactor (1) being characterized in that it includes at least one bypass line (5) having a bypass diameter (D5) less than the tube diameter (D1) and which fluidly connects one of the tubes, called the bottom tube (12-k), and another of the tubes, called the top tube (12-p), which top tube (12-p) is disposed above the bottom tube (12-k) along the vertical axis (Z); this bypass line (5) allowing to improve the homogenization within the tubular photobioreactor (1).
