Abstract

ROLLING VEHICLE STOPPING SYSTEM The invention relates to a system for stopping a vehicle rolling on a road surface. The invention is characterized in that the system comprises a track (17) composed of a plurality of track elements (33, 34) connected to each other by connecting means (35, 38), the track being provided, on one of its faces, with wheel-perforating elements (18), a thrust system (19) comprising a track thrust plate, and propulsion means (21) for the track thrust plate, according to which, in an untriggered state of the system, the track is positioned coiled upon itself in the housing and, in an triggered state of the system, the track is uncoiled onto the rolling surface of the rolling vehicle. The invention is applicable to stopping light or heavy rolling vehicles. Abstract figure: Fig. 4
