Abstract

The invention relates to a nut (1) provided with means for locking it against rotation when screwed onto a longitudinal element (A) with a peripheral thread (F), characterized in that said locking means comprise at least one insert (2) mounted in a radial housing (12) formed in the lateral wall of the body of said nut and having, on its inner edge, a series of teeth (21) intended to engage in the thread (F) of the longitudinal element (A) and, on its outer edge, an inclined wall (20) forming a cam intended to receive the support of an actuator (3) to radially move said insert and engage its teeth with the thread.
