Adsorption Privacy Filter with Notch

Abstract

An adsorption privacy filter with a notch can be removably mounted on an electronic device to limit the viewing angle of a display screen. The filter comprises a filter body made of a functional film having a plurality of optical gratings and a notch for a functional component of the electronic device, a coating layer having an aperture corresponding to the notch, and a magnetic or non-magnetic adsorption element disposed between the filter body and the coating layer. The adsorption element can be a single-layer or multi-layer structure comprising at least one layer of magnetic material. A height LF of the coating layer, a height LN of the notch, and a height LM of the adsorption element satisfy at least one of the following relationships: LF > LM > LN; LF > LM = LN; or LF = LM ≧ LN.
