Abstract

Method and system for monitoring a nuclear power plant with detection of imbalance by comparison with a median. The monitoring method comprises, for each steam generator among several steam generators and for at least one of the parameters in a set of parameters representative of the steam generator's operation: determining the difference between a measured value of the parameter for that steam generator and the median value of that parameter for all steam generators to detect an imbalance of that parameter in the steam generator; and, optionally, characterizing the imbalance as a function of one or more other parameters in the set of representative parameters, so as to generate a physical problem signal or a measurement drift signal.
