Abstract
A method implemented by a first access point in a wireless network is described for sharing a wireless transmission time slot allocated for data transmission by the first access point with neighboring access points. The first access point transmits a message asking second access points if they would be interested in allocating time within the slot. Interested second access points respond with descriptive information about their traffic awaiting transmission. The first access point can then allocate time based on the information received. A method viewed from a second access point and implementation devices are also described. Figure 3 for the abstract:
