Armour panel

Abstract

A fabric panel 100 for an armour assembly, comprising receptacles 1301-1308, each receptacle overlapping with an elongate adjacent receptacle. An armour panel assembly comprising a fabric panel base, receptacles, where each receptacle overlaps with an adjacent receptacle; and a respective plurality of armour panels 150 inserted into the receptacles, each armour panel overlaps with an adjacent armour panel. A method of assembling an armour panel assembly comprising inserting armour panel(s) into the receptacles provided in a fabric panel base, each receptacle overlapping such that each adjacent armour panel overlaps. The armour panels may be made from steel. Each receptacle may receive armour panels of different thicknesses or weights and may hold multiple armour panels. The receptacles may each be the same size, or at least two receptacles may be of different sizes.
