Abstract

A system is provided with a first autonomous vehicle 300 for carrying ammunition subcomponents (404, Figure 10) and having an ammunition subcomponent receiving system 302 and an ammunition subcomponent loading apparatus 200. The loading apparatus includes an ammunition subcomponent loading system 202 for loading first autonomous vehicle 300 with ammunition subcomponents using receiving system 302. The loading apparatus also comprises a housing (204, Figure 1) in which ammunition subcomponent loading system 202 is located, defining a vehicle loading bay (206, Figure 1). The housing may be an iso-tainer. A loading method is also provided.
