Cell stack

Abstract

A cell stack 100 comprises a cell support assembly 102 comprising first 106 and second 108 endcaps, and an array of cells 110 stacked between them, with at least one cell terminal disposed on a first side of the assembly. The cell stack also comprises a carrier element 120a comprising first 131 and second 135 end portions with engaging means, and a support portion between them and comprising first and second retaining means and receiving means. The first retaining means mounts a bus bar to the support portion. A harness element couples to the receiving means to urge the busbar towards a first face of the support portion. An insulation element is mounted to a second face of the support portion using the second retaining means. The first and second engaging means mount the carrier assembly to the support assembly so that a first busbar surface abuts a cell terminal.
