Abstract
A module 2000 for supplying gas to a flame ionisation detector (3000, figure), comprising a housing 200 configured to be mounted within a vehicle (5000, figure), and a gas flow system comprising a gas bottle 220 for containing gas, rigidly coupled via one or more mounting arms 222 extending from an interior wall of the housing, and a a two-stage pressure regulator 236 , and an output port 210 mounted through the housing, configured to supply gas to a flame ionisation detector (3000). The two-stage pressure regulator and the output port are coupled together by first piping 237. The gas bottle and the two-stage pressure regulatorare coupled together by second piping 234, wherein the second piping comprises a tortuous path. The housing further comprises a first dampener configured to suppress oscillations of the gas bottle and the two-stage pressure regulator.
