Abstract

The present invention enables a casino to track an uncarded (anonymous) player over multiple sessions and provide rewards based on cumulative play. Game play information for each game play session of a player may be communicated to at least one of a casino management system and a promotional system. One of the casino management system and the promotional system initiates communication of a reward for a player at predetermined thresholds of game play. Reward indicia 37 for the reward may be provided on a voucher printed at the gaming machine via a ticket-in-ticket-out (TITO) printer. A unique voucher number 39 may be assigned to the voucher, which enables player and game play tracking. The voucher may be generated each time the player qualifies for a reward. The reward can be provided via a QR code on the voucher which drives the player to a website or mobile app. Cookies or other unique identifiers within the app can allow player tracking. Rewards may be provided only when the anonymous (uncarded) player enrols in the casino’s loyalty scheme or player’s club, becoming a carded player. The invention allows casinos to incentivise further game play.
