Faceplate assembly

Abstract

An exterior faceplate assembly (200) comprises inner faceplate member (201) and an outer faceplate member (202). The inner faceplate member (201) comprises an inner plate portion (203) for securing to a surface around an opening on an exterior side of a door leaf. The outer faceplate member (202) is secured over the inner plate portion (203) and comprises a sleeve portion (216) which is received within inner faceplate member (201) such that the sleeve portion (216) defines part of a channel which extends into the opening of the door leaf in use. The inner faceplate member (201) comprises a restrictor (211) which forms part of a floor of the channel to restrict the internal height of the channel, the exterior faceplate assembly (200) thereby being configured such that the restrictor (211) remains within the opening of the door leaf upon removal of the outer faceplate member (202) from the inner faceplate member (201).
