Abstract

A unibody flameholder for a reheat assembly of a gas turbine engine comprising a main structure (510 fig 6) and a rear exterior wall 512. The main structure and rear wall defining a flow path through the flameholder. The rear exterior wall comprising a coextensive portion connected to the main structure and an integrally formed cantilever portion 513 which is locally detached from the main structure. The cantilever portion being at least 10 percent of the coextensive attached portion. The cantilever portion preferably defining a gap 504 around the periphery of the cantilevered portion between the cantilevered portion and the main structure. The flameholder preferably including an interior baffle (520 fig 6). Fig 7
