Improvements in and relating to in-vehicle entertainment system

Abstract

An in-vehicle audio entertainment system comprising at least one microphone 206, a speaker system comprising multiple loudspeakers 208 installed in different locations of the vehicle 200, a control system 212 and a user-interface which includes a display 210 and a user-input device. The user-interface is used to cause the control system to record sound as at least one audio track via the microphone(s), to combine different tracks including at least one of the recorded tracks to create a layered recording, and to play the layered recording via the speaker system. The entertainment system may be controlled using a mobile computing device such as a smartphone 300 programmed with an app, the device being associated with a microphone. Optionally, a spatial characteristic and audio properties of at least one track of the layered recording can be modified via the user-interface. The system in-effect provides an in-car recording studio / karaoke system. [Fig. 2]
