Remote control for a window blind

Abstract

An electric motor 12 controlled window blind system with a blind 8 and a remote control 6 that has a display screen 22. The blind has a transceiver and a rechargeable battery 16 and the remote control also has a rechargeable battery 24. The remote control sends wireless signals which are transmitted to the motor controller via a remote signal transceiver 28 and a blind signal transceiver 20. The display screen of the remote control displays information relating to the status of the shading element or blind, the charge state of the motor rechargeable battery and information relating to the charge state of the remote control rechargeable battery. A system which contains a first and second window blind is also claimed. The system may also have a remote control base and the remote control may be magnetically coupled to the remote control base.
