Plasma generating system and method

Abstract

A plasma generation system 100 with a hub device 102 connectable to a plurality of plasma generating devices 104, the hub device 102 having a controller (126, Figure 1) that obtains and processes data from the plurality of plasma generating devices 104 in order to detect whether there have been changes in operating conditions, and, if so, the controller (126, Figure 1) is able to cause one or more of the plasma generating devices 104 to adjust one or more of its properties of plasma generation. The change in operating conditions may be a change in environment, performance, number of plasma generating devices 104, or change in the object to be treated by the plasma generating devices (e.g. proximity). The property adjusted by the controller may be an operating power, frequency, duty cycle, temperature of electrodes, rate of plasma generation, or distance to the object to be treated.
