Abstract

The present disclosure provides a pressure vessel 10, such as a hyperbaric chamber comprising at least one modular unit 14, 16, 18 configured to be connected to one or more other modular units to permit the pressure vessel to be modified in size. The present disclosure further provides a seal arrangement (26, figure 3) for a pressure vessel, the seal arrangement comprising a plurality of seal elements (28, figure 2) configured to be assembled together to form a sealing band, the plurality of seal elements comprising a first seal element (28a figure 2) and a second seal element (28b figure 2), the first seal element comprising a male connector (36 figure 4) and the second seal element comprising a female connector (38 figure 4). Also, a vessel door 20 for a pressure vessel, the vessel door comprising an outer frame (54 figure 8) and an inner panel (56 figure 8). Also disclosed is a pressure vessel comprising a vessel door and an actuator arrangement (66, 68, figure 10), wherein the actuator arrangement is configured to bias the door (20) closed to seal the vessel. Also disclosed is an end cap 14 for a pressure vessel, the end cap comprising a dished portion (130, figure 17) a peripheral portion (132, figure 17) and a flange member (22a, figure 20), wherein the peripheral portion and the flange member are secured together via at least one weld.
