Abstract

A non-grain oriented electrical steel alloy composition is provided comprising: 0.05 wt% or less of carbon; 7 wt% or less of silicon; 7 wt% or less of silicon; 0-7 wt% of manganese; 2 wt% or less of nickel; 3 wt% or less of chromium; 4 wt% or less of aluminium; The balance of the composition consists of iron and no more than 0.2 wt% total in other alloying elements or impurities.
