Fuel injector for a gas turbine engine

Abstract

A fuel injector for a combustor of a gas turbine engine, the injector comprising a fuel injection device 360. The fuel injection device being described as configured to inhibit cavitation of the fuel. The fuel injection device including a fuel injection port 362 injecting fuel into the combustor. The fuel injection device preferably including a conduit and preferably includes a flow restriction (369, fig 6) within the conduit for maintaining a local static pressure of the fuel above a vapour pressure of the fuel. The flow restrictor preferably reducing a cross-sectional area of the fuel injection device by no greater than 30%. Figure 3
