Nodal actuation assembly and integrated container system for dispensing flowable matter

Abstract

A nodal actuation assembly and container system for selectively dispensing flowable material comprises a base 20 coupled to, or integral with, a container 40, and an upper dynamic head member or lid 10. The lid 10 is rotatably connected to the base 20 for rotation between open and closed positions which respectively allow and prevent dispensing of material. The base 20 includes a projection 25 defining a dispensing pathway 30, and the lid includes corresponding projection 15 such that in the closed position the projection 15 occludes the dispensing pathway, and in the open position the projection 15 is circumferentially offset from the base projection 25 to expose the pathway. The assembly may include indexing means for providing sensory feedback relating to angular positions of the lid during rotation. The lid may include flow modifying or mixing components. The base nodal projection 25 may comprise a spout. The base 20 may be integrally formed with the container, or releasably attached to the container such that the base may be attached to one of a selection of containers. The containers may be formed by assembling and affixing separate portions, or by inserting dividers to allow selective dispensing of different contents. [Use figures 1 & 4]
