Aircraft fuel delivery system

Abstract

The present invention relates to an aircraft fuel delivery system 10 having a first tank 12a, 12b, 12c for storing a first aircraft fuel, second tank 16 for storing a first additive or a second aircraft fuel and a shut-off valve (100, figure 3). The shut-off valve comprises a first inlet port (104, figure 3) for introducing the first aircraft fuel into an internal valve chamber (108, figure 4a) and a second inlet port (124, figure 3) for introducing the first additive or the second aircraft fuel into the internal valve chamber (108) such that the first additive or the second aircraft fuel can be combined with the first aircraft fuel to create a fuel mixture. The shut-off valve (100) also comprises a valve member (outlet port 106, figure 3) which can be adjusted for controlling the delivery of the first aircraft fuel and / or the fuel mixture to the aircraft engines or to the aircraft auxiliary power unit. Additionally provided is a method of delivering a fuel mixture to an aircraft engine or to an aircraft auxiliary power unit. [Figure 2]
