Abstract
Turbine flowmeter, designed for “smart” measurement of the flow rate of the liquid entering it and recovery of the pressure (head) of the liquid flowing out of it; the liquid flowing into it is converted by the conversion unit into a spiral-pulsating flow, which hits the turbine and forces it to rotate impulsively with a frequency proportional to the speed of the liquid flow; the spiral-pulsating flow exiting the turbine is first narrowed and then expanded by means of convergent (narrowing) and divergent (expanding) nozzles; the expanded spiral-pulsating flow is pumped by a screw-type pump and converted by an axial converter into an axial-pulsating flow, which is collected in the liquid pressure recovery chamber; In this chamber, hydraulic shocks (pressure surges) caused by the axial-pulsating flow hitting the accumulated liquid are used to restore the liquid pressure, after which the liquid leaves the turbine flowmeter; The fluid flow rate is measured by a “smart” measuring node in which a hermetic measuring rotor (containing circumferentially arranged induction coils without a collar) rotates synchronously between the magnetic stators of the turbine; the stators are equipped with circumferentially arranged magnets that create alternating magnetic fluxes; when these fluxes are crossed by the induction coils, electrical signals are induced, by measuring which data related to the fluid flow rate are calculated; data reading is provided using optical signals similar to Morse code; the magnetic stators and the hermetic measuring rotor are located in a narrow section (throat) between the convergent and divergent nozzles, in the flow path of the measuring fluid. Thus, the overall design of the device is characterized by improved accuracy, a “smart” and secure metrological system, a fluid pressure recovery function, and a simple structure.
