Abstract

The invention relates to a machine destined for the sorting of multi-color fruits and the removal of foreign materials via a step distance measurement mechanism comprising a main mechanism (1) with rotating cylinders (2) with slots (2.2), a fruit storage silo (4), a lift (5), a uniform dispersion belt (6), an optical detection arrangement (8) with a lighting chamber (9) and a smart camera (10), a step distance measurement mechanism (14) with a measuring disc (14.1) and a photocell (14.3), pneumatic mechanisms (12, 17, 18) rejecting fruit, via guiding conduits (13, 17.1, 18.1), into collection receptacles (20, 21, 22, 23). Foreign materials fall from the gaps between the cylinders (2) into a foreign material collection basin (15). With said invention an easy, flexible and economical way of cleaning and sorting various fruits such as olives, blueberries, cherries, cranberries, walnuts, etc. is achieved.
