Abstract
The invention is a force transfer and amplification mechanism which consists of a multi-joint (10) that includes a flexible carrier (11) wound around pulleys. The multi-joint (10) connects at least two articulated arms (20 and 30 or 40 and 50) where each arm is articulated to a base (2 and 3 or 2 and 5) and each base is attached via flexible carriers (4) to an assisted body member. In addition, each base and each arm are anchored exclusively via flexible carriers (61-67) to adjacent unassisted body members or to another base.
