Abstract
The present invention relates to a theranostic platform which is designed for the glioblastoma and combines diagnostic and therapeutic functionalities within a single molecule. A representative composition of this platform is the AGT-7 which integrates a technetium-99m chelating moiety for precise SPECT imaging in combination to a cytotoxic moiety analogous to the temozolomide for targeted chemotherapy. Said composition selectively accumulates in glioma cells, exhibits superior cytotoxicity compared to temozolomide and demonstrates favorable biodistribution and stability profiles. The AGT-7 provides an innovative multifunctional platform for the simultaneous imaging and treatment of glioblastoma, representing a significant advancement in cancer theranostic cells for this type of cancer.
