Abstract

The present invention relates to gliptins, the inhibitors of dipeptidyl peptidase 4, also known as DPP-4 inhibitors, for use in the treatment and / or prevention of autoimmune diseases. More particularly, the invention relates to a pharmaceutical composition comprising a compound selected from the group consisting of gliptins, pharmaceutically acceptable salts thereof and hydrates thereof, for use in a therapeutic or prophylactic method of treating. Furthermore, the invention relates to a therapeutic or prophylactic method of treating MS in a human subject in need thereof, said method comprising the administration to said subject of a pharmaceutical composition comprising a compound selected from the group consisting of gliptins, pharmaceutically acceptable salts thereof and hydrates thereof.
