[0090] As shown in Figures 5, 6, and 7, the game controller can be used both when it is installed on the game device 3 and when it is removed from the game device 3.
[0091] As shown in Figure 5, when the game controller is installed on the game device 3, it is used with its long side facing up or down, for example. On the other hand, as shown in Figure 6, when the game controller is removed from the game device 3, it is used with its long side facing left or right (or, from another viewpoint, parallel to the ground).
[0092] In the example shown in Figure 6, the first game controller 1 and the second game controller 2 are operated by different users.
[0093] In the following description, when referring to the direction (up, down, left, right) of the game controller, the following usage state will be used as the reference direction: the game controller is removed from the game device 3, and the long side direction is the left-right direction. On the other hand, in the following description, when referring to the direction of the game device 3 and the direction of the information device 1000 after the game controller is installed on the game device 3, the following usage state will be used as the reference direction: the direction in which the sides of the game device 3 on which the game controller is installed are connected to each other will be the left-right direction.
[0094] Furthermore, as shown in FIG7, when the game controller has been removed from the game device 3, it is also used such that the long side direction of the game controller is, for example, the up-down direction (from another viewpoint, the direction perpendicular to the ground) or the front-back direction. Furthermore, in the example shown in FIG7, both the first game controller 1 and the second game controller 2 are operated by one user. It is also possible that different users operate the respective controllers.
[0095] Hereinafter, the usage state shown in FIG5 will be referred to as the integrated holding state, the usage state shown in FIG6 will be referred to as the horizontal holding state, and the usage state shown in FIG7 will be referred to as the vertical holding state.
[0096] As shown in FIG. 4, the first game controller 1 has a protrusion 100 protruding from its upper side 11. [0101] <Game Device>
[0102] As shown in FIG3, a display 305 is provided on the front side 315 of the main body of the game device 3.
[0103] The game device 3 has a lower terminal 303. The lower terminal 303 is provided on the lower side 317 of the main body of the game device 3. The lower terminal 303 may also be located at the center of the lower side 317 of the main body in the left-right direction. The lower terminal 303 may be, for example, a terminal for communicating with an external device. The lower terminal 303 may be, for example, a USB (Universal Serial Bus) connector. The game device 3 may also be powered from the outside through the lower terminal 303. The game device 3 may also output images to the outside through the lower terminal 303. When the game device 3 is mounted on a bracket from the lower side of the main body, the lower terminal 303 may also be connected to the terminal of the bracket.
[0104] The game device 3 has an upper terminal 302 on the upper side 316 of the main body. The game device 3 may also have a power button 307, a storage medium slot 304, and a sound input / output terminal 301 on the upper side 316 of the main body. The game device 3 may also perform game processing by executing the game application stored on the storage medium inserted into the storage medium slot 304.
[0105] FIG8 is an assembled perspective view showing the structure of the right side of the game device 3. FIG9 is an exploded perspective view showing the structure of the right side of the game device 3. In addition, the game device 3 also has the same structure on the left side.
[0106] As shown in FIG8, a game device side recess 310 is provided on the right side 313 of the main body of the game device 3. The game device side recess 310 is a recessed portion on the right side 313 of the main body. The game device side recess 310 has a game device side bottom surface 3121 and a game device side inner peripheral surface 3120 surrounding the game device side bottom surface 3121. In addition, in this embodiment, the portion of the main body shell 306 that forms the right side of the game device 3 is recessed, thereby forming the game device side inner peripheral surface 3120 and a base surface (base surface 311 described later) that becomes the base surface. By placing a cover member 338 on the base surface, the surface of the cover member 338 constitutes the game device side bottom surface 3121 of the game device side recess 310. Alternatively, the cover member 338 may be omitted, in which case the bottom surface formed by the main body shell 306 becomes the game device side bottom surface 3121 of the game device side recess 310.
[0107] As shown in FIG8, the game device side bottom surface 3121 of the game device side recess 310 extends along the long side of the right side face 313 of the main body. The front side edge and the back side edge of the game device side bottom surface 3121 are substantially straight and extend substantially parallel. In this embodiment, the upper and lower regions of the game device side bottom surface 3121 narrow in width towards the end. More specifically, the upper and lower regions of the game device side bottom surface 3121 narrow in width in a curved manner. In addition, the upper and lower regions of the game device side bottom surface 3121 may also narrow in width in a straight line. Alternatively, the width of the upper and lower regions of the game device side bottom surface 3121 may be constant. Alternatively, the width of only one of the upper and lower regions of the bottom surface 3121 of the game device side may narrow towards the end.
[0108] As shown in FIG9, the game device 3 has a first plug connector 330, a cover member 338, a set of stepped thread members 334, and two game device side magnetic elements 410 and 420 disposed along the long side direction of the game device side recess 310. The first game device side magnetic element 410 is disposed on the upper side, and the second game device side magnetic element 420 is disposed on the lower side. The first game device side magnetic element 410 is disposed in a region above the center of the right side surface 313 of the main body, and the second game device side magnetic element 420 is disposed in a region below the center of the right side surface 313 of the main body. The game device side magnetic elements 410 and 420 each include a magnet and a yoke that clamps the magnet in the middle. The game device side magnetic elements 410 and 420 may alsoThe magnetic elements 410 and 420 on the gaming device side may also be disposed in the upper or lower regions.
[0109] As shown in FIG9, the portion forming the right side surface of the main body shell 306 is recessed, thereby forming a base surface 311, which is the base of the bottom surface of the gaming device side recess 310, and a gaming device side inner peripheral surface 3120. As described above, the surface of the cover member 338 placed on the base surface 311 constitutes the gaming device side bottom surface 3121. The shape of the base surface 311 is substantially the same as the shape of the cover member 338. In this embodiment, the gaming device side inner peripheral surface 3120 surrounds the entire circumference of the base surface 311, but it may not be a structure that surrounds the entire circumference. In this embodiment, the gaming device side recess 310 opens to the right and does not open in the up-down or front-back directions. The gaming device side inner peripheral surface 3120 is connected to the base surface 311 and the right side surface 313 of the main body. The upper end of the inner peripheral surface 3120 on the gaming device side (the right end in gaming device 3) is connected to the right side surface 313 of the main body. From another perspective, the recess 310 on the gaming device side is more recessed than the right side surface 313 of the main body. In this embodiment, the shape of the inner peripheral surface 3120 on the gaming device side is approximately the outer peripheral surface shape of a frustum of a pyramid with the bottom surface 3121 on the gaming device side as its upper base. That is, the inner peripheral surface 3120 on the gaming device side expands from the bottom surface to the upper end. Furthermore, as described later, the end region in the long side direction may also be rounded. From another perspective, when viewing the recess 310 on the gaming device side from the opening side (i.e., the right side), the bottom surface 3121 and the inner peripheral surface 3120 surrounding the bottom surface 3121 of the gaming device side can be seen. In other embodiments, the inner peripheral surface 3120 on the gaming device side may also extend parallel to the left-right direction. Furthermore, the shape of the recess 310 on the gaming device side is not limited to the outer peripheral surface shape of a frustum of a pyramid. As an example, the shape of the recess 310 on the side of the game device can also be the outer peripheral surface shape of a frustum of a cone, or the outer peripheral surface shape of a cuboid. The inner peripheral surface 3120 on the side of the game device can also be a shape that does not expand outward from the bottom surface 3121 on the side of the game device. That is, the inner peripheral surface 3120 on the side of the game device can also be inclined outward from the top, or it can be neither inclined inward nor outward. From another point of view, it is also possible that when the recess 310 on the side of the game device is viewed from the opening side (i.e., the right side), at least the entire bottom surface 3121 on the side of the game device can be seen. In addition, the opposite side of the game device 3 is also configured in the same way.
[0110] The base surface 311 has a first hole 401 and a second hole 402 for receiving the magnetic elements 410, 420 on the side of the game device. The first hole 401 and the second hole 402 are arranged along the long side direction of the right side surface 313 of the main body. That is, the first hole 401 and the second hole 402 are arranged along the long side direction of the base surface 311. Details are described below. The first game controller 1 also has a magnetic element, which is used to control the first game controller. The magnetic elements on the controller 1 side are attracted to the magnetic elements 410 and 420 on the game device side, and the game controller is installed on the game device 3. Through all or part of the magnetic elements 410 and 420 on the game device side entering through the internal entry holes 401 and 402 of the main body shell 306, the distance between the magnetic elements on the first game controller 1 side and the magnetic elements 410 and 420 on the game device side installed on the game device 3 becomes closer, which can improve the magnetic force of attraction. Specification 9 / 44 pages 15 CN 121944503 A
[0111] The first game device side magnetic element 410, the second game device side magnetic element 420, the first hole 401 and the second hole 402 are covered by the cover member 338. That is, the first game device side magnetic element 410 and the second game device side magnetic element 420 are covered by the cover member 338 that constitutes the bottom surface 3121 of the game device side recess 310. In this embodiment, as a way of providing the first game device-side magnetic element 410 and the second game device-side magnetic element 420 at the bottom of the game device-side recess 310, the first game device-side magnetic element 410 and the second game device-side magnetic element 420 are embedded in the game device-side bottom surface 3121 of the game device-side recess 310 by means of a cover member 338. As another way of providing the first game device-side magnetic element 410 and the second game device-side magnetic element 420 at the bottom of the game device-side recess 310, the first game device-side magnetic element 410 and the second game device-side magnetic element 420 may also be disposed on the game device-side bottom surface 3121 of the game device-side recess 310. In addition, the first game device-side magnetic element 410 and the second game device-side magnetic element 420 may also be disposed in an exposed manner at a position on the surface or deep within the hole provided in the game device-side bottom surface 3121 of the game device-side recess 310.
[0112] The second game device-side magnetic element 420 has the same structure as the first game device-side magnetic element 410. Additionally, the second game device-side magnetic element 420, like the first game device-side magnetic element 410, is partially housed in the second hole 402.
[0113] As shown in FIG9, the first plug connector 330 has a connector support portion 333, a tongue 332 protruding from the connector support portion 333, and a main body first terminal 331 disposed along the surface of the tongue 332. The connector support portion 333 and the tongue 332 can be integral or separate.
[0114] In the direction of the long side of the right side face 313 of the main body, viewed from the bottom surface of the game device-side recess 310, the first plug connector 330 is disposed between the first game device-side magnetic element 410 and the second game device-side magnetic element 420.

These are examples of input units, and not all of them may be included. Furthermore, the first game controller 1 may replace these input units or have other input units such as a touch pad or a pressure sensor in addition to these input units. The top surface button (right) 110 and the top surface button (left) 120 are magnetically attached buttons.
[0118] When the first game controller 1 is installed on the game device 3, the operation information of the input unit is transmitted to the main body first terminal 331 of the game device 3 via the first terminal 160 (described later), and the CPU of the game device 3 processes the information according to the program. Furthermore, in the usage mode where the game controller is not installed on the game device 3, the operation information of the input unit is transmitted to the CPU of the game device 3 via the wireless chip provided by the game controller and the wireless chip provided by the game device 3. Alternatively, the game device may not have the first terminal 160 and the main body first terminal 331; in this case, information transmission via the wireless chip is also performed when the game controller is installed on the game device 3.
[0119] As shown in FIG10, the first game controller 1 has a front side 15, a back side 16, an upper side 11, a right side 12, a lower side 13, and a left side 14. The front side 15 is the side facing the user using the first game controller 1 in the integrated holding state, the horizontal holding state, and the vertical holding state. The back side 16 is located on the opposite side of the front side 15. The front side 15 and the back side 16 are respectively connected to the upper side 11, the right side 12, the lower side 13, and the left side 14.
[0120] The normal direction of the upper side 11 is also called the first direction R1. The first direction R1 is the direction in which the protrusion 100 protrudes, also called the upper side or convex direction, or the upper direction. The protrusion 100 is located on the first direction R1 side of the upper side 11. The opposite direction of the first direction R1 is also called the third direction R3. The third direction R3 is also called the lower side or the lower direction. The first direction R1 and the third direction R3 are collectively referred to as the up-down direction.
[0121] The direction perpendicular to the up-down direction and towards the right side 12 is also called the second direction R2. The second direction R2 is also called the right side or the right direction. The opposite direction of the second direction R2 is also called the fourth direction R4. The fourth direction R4 is also called the left side or the left side. The second direction R2 and the fourth direction R4 are collectively referred to as the left-right direction.
[0122] The normal direction of the front side 15 is also referred to as the fifth direction R5. The fifth direction R5 is also referred to as the front side or front direction. The opposite direction of the fifth direction is also referred to as the sixth direction R6. The sixth direction R6 is also referred to as the back side or back direction. The fifth direction R5 and the sixth direction R6 are collectively referred to as the front-back direction.
[0123] As described above, the upper side 11 is located on the upper side relative to the front side. The upper side 11 is a side extending along the long side direction of the front side 15. In this embodiment, the long side direction of the front side 15 is the left-right direction of the front side 15. The upper side 11 extends in the left-right direction. The lower side 13 is located on the opposite side of the upper side 11. The lower side 13 is located on the third direction R3 side of the upper side 11. The right side 12 is a side connected to the right end of the upper side 11 and extending in a direction away from the upper side 11. The end of the right side far from the upper side 11 is connected to the right end of the lower side 13. The left side 14 is a side that is connected to the left end of the upper side 11 and extends away from the upper side 11. The end of the left side far from the upper side 11 is connected to the left end of the lower side 13. The right side is located on the second direction R2 side of the left side.
[0124] As shown in FIG10, on the front side 15 of the first game controller, a + button 33 (1), a group of 4 buttons 32, a joystick 31, and a home button 33 (2) are provided from the right side in the left-right direction. The group of 4 buttons 32 is adjacent to the joystick 31. In the up-down direction, the joystick 31 is located between the upper button and the lower button of the group of 4 buttons 32. In the left-right direction, the joystick 31 is located on the approximate extension line of the straight line connecting the right button and the left button of the group of 4 buttons 32.
[0125] The joystick 31 can tilt in a 360-degree direction, or it can tilt in any of the directions including the first direction R1 to the fourth direction R4. Alternatively, the joystick 31 can tilt in only a portion of the directions. Alternatively, the joystick 31 can be pressed. The joystick 31 can also slide in any direction instead of tilting. The game device 3 can also perform corresponding processing of signals indicating the operation direction in the executed program by the user's operation of the joystick 31. In addition, the game controller can replace the joystick 31 or have other inputs besides the joystick 31 as the direction input. For example, it can have a directional pad, or it can have a set of buttons.
[0126] The game device 3 can also perform corresponding processing based on the pressing of the + button 33 (1) and the four buttons 32 in the executed program. The game device 3 can also bring up the home menu based on the input of the home button 33 (2).
[0127] The shoulder button (right) 130 is, for example, a button used in the integrated grip state, and is equipped with in the integrated grip state.A button is located on the upper right side of the first game controller 1. The shoulder button (right) 130 can also be used in the vertical grip state. The shoulder button (right) 130 has a curved operating surface. The shoulder button (right) 130 extends away from the upper side 11. The shoulder button (right) 130 is generally located in the lower right part of the first game controller 1 in the horizontal grip state. The shoulder button (right) 130 may also be at least partially located on the right side 12. The operating surface of the shoulder button (right) 130 is generally curved along the lower right part of the first game controller 1. The game device 3 performs a prescribed process based on the pressing of the shoulder button (right) in the executed program.
[0128] The Z shoulder button (right) 140 is, for example, a button used in the integrated grip state, and is located on the back side of the shoulder button (right) 130. The Z shoulder button (right) 140 can also be used in the vertical grip state. The Z-shoulder button (right) 140 has a curved operating surface. The shoulder button (right) 130 extends away from the upper side 11. The Z-shoulder button (right) 140 is generally located in the lower right part of the first game controller 1 in the horizontal grip state. The Z-shoulder button (right) 140 may also be at least partially located on the right side 12. The Z-shoulder button (right) 140 may also be at least partially located on the back 16. The operating surface of the Z-shoulder button (right) 140 is generally curved along the lower right part of the first game controller 1. In addition, the Z-shoulder button (right) 140 may also be entirely located on the back. The game device 3 performs a prescribed process based on the Z-shoulder button (right) 140 being pressed in the executed program.
[0129] FIG11 is a perspective view showing the structure of the first game controller 1. FIG12 is an exploded perspective view including the protrusion 100.
[0130] As shown in FIG11, the first game controller 1, in addition to the structure already described, also includes: a light-emitting section 150 for notifying the game controller's identification number; a first terminal 160 connected to the main body first terminal 331 of the game device 3; a first buffer 191; a second buffer 192; and an operating section 182, which constitutes a disassembly mechanism for removing the protrusion 100 from the game device 3. The first terminal 160 is a game controller terminal provided on the first game controller 1.
[0131] As shown in FIG11, the protrusion 100 protrudes upward from the upper side 11. From another viewpoint, the protrusion 100 protrudes in a first direction R1 from the upper side 11. The protrusion 100 extends along the long side direction of the upper side 11 (i.e., its length in this long side direction is longer than its length in other directions). Furthermore, the protrusion 100 may also extend in a manner not strictly consistent with the long side direction of the upper side 11, as long as it extends along the long side direction. In other words, the long side of the protrusion 100 is along the long side of the upper side 11.Direction. In addition, the long side direction of the protrusion 100 may not be strictly consistent with the long side direction of the upper side 11. The protrusion 100 is an elongated protrusion extending along the long side direction of the upper side 11. In addition, the protrusion 200 of the second game controller 2 also has the same structure as the protrusion 100. Hereinafter, the structure of the protrusion 100 of the first game controller 1 will be described with focus on it.
[0132] The protrusion 100 has a top surface (hereinafter, also referred to as the top surface 106) and a peripheral surface (hereinafter, also referred to as the outer peripheral surface 107) extending downward from the top surface. The top surface 106 is separate from the upper side 11. The outer peripheral surface 107 is disposed between the top surface 106 and the upper side 11 and extends from the top surface 106 to the upper side 11. The outer peripheral surface 107 is connected to the top surface 106 in such a way as to surround the outer edge of the top surface 106. The top surface 106 extends along the long side direction of the upper side 11. Viewed from the top surface 106, the protrusion 100 extends along the long side of the upper side surface 11. The length of the top surface 106 in the left-right direction is longer than the length of the top surface 106 in the front-back direction. Furthermore, the surface of the top surface 106 can be either embossed or otherwise flat, or it can be flat.
[0133] In this embodiment, the protrusion 100 is a frustum pyramid shape whose cross-section decreases as it moves toward the top surface 106. Furthermore, as described later, the end region in the long side direction may also be rounded. From another viewpoint, when the protrusion 100 is viewed from the top surface 106 side (i.e., the upper side), the top surface 106 and the outer peripheral surface 107 surrounding the top surface 106 can be seen. Furthermore, the shape of the protrusion 100 is not limited to a frustum pyramid. As an example, the protrusion 100 may also be a frustum cone or a cuboid. The outer peripheral surface 107 of the protrusion 100 may also be a shape that does not extend outward toward the top surface 106. That is, the outer peripheral surface 107 of the protrusion 100 may also be inclined inward toward the top surface 106, or it may not be inclined inward or outward, for example, it may extend vertically from the upper side surface 11.
[0134] The length of the protrusion 100 in the left-right direction (that is, the length of the protrusion 100 in the long side direction) may be more than twice or more than five times the length of the protrusion 100 in the front-back direction. The length of the protrusion 100 in the left-right direction may be more than 50% or more of the length of the upper side surface 11 in the left-right direction, or more than 70%. The length of the protrusion 100 in the left-right direction may be less than 25 times or less than 15 times the length of the protrusion 100 in the front-back direction.
[0135] By lengthening the length of the protrusion 100 in the left-right direction, the length of the top surface (operation surface) of the upper button (right) 110 and the upper button (left) 120 in the left-right direction can be increased, which can improve operability. In addition, it is also easy to configure the first buffer 191, the second buffer 192, etc. on the top surface of the convex part 100 on page 12 / 44 of the instruction manual 18 CN 121944503 A.
[0136] As shown in FIG11, the protrusion 100 is sandwiched between the front side housing 61 and the back side housing 62 constituting the controller housing 10. An opening 17 is provided on the upper side 11, formed by the end face of the front side housing 61 and the end face of the back side housing 62. The protrusion 100 protrudes through the opening 17 from the interior of the controller housing 10.
[0137] As shown in FIG12, the protrusion 100 has a protrusion flange 19. The protrusion flange 19 extends outward (more specifically, in the left-right and front-back directions) from the lower end of the wall portion constituting the outer peripheral surface 107. The area of the protrusion 100 above the protrusion flange 19 protrudes from the opening 17. The area of the protrusion 100 below the protrusion flange 19 is located inside the controller housing 10. The protrusion flange 19 functions as an anti-detachment component of the protrusion 100. Alternatively, the protrusion 100 may be composed of multiple components. Alternatively, the protrusion 100 may also be part of the controller housing 10. For example, the protrusion 100 may also be formed by at least one of the front side housing 61 and the rear side housing 62.
[0138] The protrusion 100 is detachably mounted to the game device mounting portion provided on the game device. Specifically, the protrusion 100 is configured to be inserted into the game device side recess 310 from the front direction of the recess (the right side direction of the game device 3). The shape of the protrusion 100 is formed to match the shape of the game device side recess 310. From another viewpoint, the shapes of the top surface 106 and the outer peripheral surface 107 of the protrusion conform to the shapes of the game device side bottom surface 3121 and the game device side inner peripheral surface 3120 of the game device side recess 310. When the first game controller 1 is installed on the game device 3, the top surface 106 abuts or approaches the bottom surface 3121 of the game device and faces it, and the outer peripheral surface 107 abuts or approaches the inner peripheral surface 3120 of the game device and faces it. Therefore, for example, when the user installs the first game controller 1 on the game device 3, the first game controller 1 is guided to the appropriate installation position. In addition, for example, the positional deviation of the first game controller 1 installed on the game device 3 in the vertical or longitudinal direction of the game device 3 is suppressed. As an example, in the integrated holding state, even if a force is applied to the game controller in the longitudinal or vertical direction with the user's operation input, a large positional deviation of the game controller relative to the game device 3 is suppressed.
[0139] As shown in Figures 10 to 12, the outer peripheral surface 107 of the protrusion 100 has a first engaging hole 193 and a second engaging hole 194. The first engaging hole 193 is provided on one end face in the long side direction of the protrusion 100. The second engaging hole 194 is provided on the opposite end face along the long side of the protrusion 100. The shape of the first engaging hole 193 is different from the shape of the second engaging hole 194.In the rearward direction, the lengths of the first engaging hole 193 and the second engaging hole 194 may also be different. In the vertical direction, the lengths of the first engaging hole 193 and the second engaging hole 194 may also be different.
[0140] As shown in Figures 11 and 12, the upper surface button (right) 110 and the upper surface button (left) 120 are provided on the protrusion 100. The upper surface button (right) 110 and the upper surface button (left) 120 are buttons for users to press, and are components that move downwards by pressing. A grounding part 51 is connected to the lower side of the upper surface button (right) 110. A tactile switch 117 is provided on the lower side of the upper surface button (right) 110. When the upper surface button (right) 110 moves downwards by the user's pressing operation, the tactile switch 117 is pressed by the upper surface button (right) 110. The upper surface button (right) 110 and the tactile switch 117 constitute a push-button switch. Additionally, a push-button switch is formed by the upper surface button (left) 120 and the tactile switch 127.
[0141] The upper surface button (right) 110 is exposed from the fifth opening 197 provided on the top surface 106. The exposed portions of the upper surface button (right) 110 and the upper surface button (left) 120 (see Figure 10) form an operating part that is pressed by the user. A grounding part 53 is connected to the lower side of the upper surface button (left) 120. A tactile switch 127 is provided on the lower side of the upper surface button (left) 120. The tactile switch 127 is pressed by the upper surface button (left) 120. The turn-on signal of the tactile switch 117 and the turn-on signal of the tactile switch 127 are transmitted to the game device 3, and the corresponding processing for pressing the upper surface button (right) 110 and the upper surface button (left) 120 is performed in the executed program.
[0142] A synchronization button 50 is provided on the protrusion 100. The synchronization button 50 is pressed by the user. The synchronization button 50 is disposed between the upper surface button (right) 110 and the upper surface button (left) 120 in the long side direction of the protrusion 100. More specifically, the synchronization button 50 is disposed between the first terminal 160 and the upper surface button (left) 120 in the long side direction of the protrusion 100. The synchronization button 50 can also be used to indicate setting processing related to wireless communication between the first game controller 1 and the game device 3.
[0143] The first game controller 1 has a terminal receiving portion 167. The first terminal 160 is disposed along the inner peripheral surface of the terminal receiving portion 167. The first terminal 160 extends in the vertical direction. A terminal opening 196 is provided on the top surface 106 of the protrusion 100 of the first game controller 1. The first terminal 160 is disposed inside the terminal opening 196. The terminal receiving portion 167 communicates with the terminal opening 196. That is, the terminal receiving portion 167 is open on the top surface 106. Therefore, the first terminal 160 can be contacted from the outside of the top surface 106.
[0144] An opening 196 for the terminal is provided between the upper surface button (right) 110 and the upper surface button (left) 120 on the top surface 106. Thus, the terminal receiving portion 167 opens between the upper surface button (right) 110 and the upper surface button (left) 120 on the top surface 106. A first terminal 160 is provided between the upper surface button (right) 110 and the upper surface button (left) 120 along the long side of the protrusion 100. Furthermore, the first terminal 160 may be located between the upper surface button (right) 110 and the upper surface button (left) 120 only if at least a portion of it is located between the upper surface button (right) 110 and the upper surface button (left) 120 in the left-right direction, or it may not be located between the upper surface button (right) 110 and the upper surface button (left) 120 in the front-back direction or the up-down direction. From another viewpoint, viewed from the top surface of the protrusion 100, the terminal is located between the upper surface button (right) 110 and the upper surface button (left) 120. The first terminal 160 is provided within the protrusion 100. The first terminal 160 is configured such that at least its upper end is below or lower than the top surface 106 in the protruding direction of the protrusion 100. The upper end of the first terminal 160 may also be located between the top surface 106 and the upper side surface 11. The lower end of the first terminal 160 may also be located at a position lower than the upper side surface 11, i.e., inside the controller housing 10.
[0145] The light-emitting part 150 is provided on the outer peripheral surface 107 of the protrusion 100. More specifically, the light-emitting part 150 is provided on the front side of the outer peripheral surface 107. From another viewpoint, the area of the outer peripheral surface 107 where the light-emitting part 150 is provided faces the front side. When the user observes the front 15 of the first game controller 1, the light from the light-emitting part 150 can be visually recognized. The light-emitting part 150 typically emits light emitted by an LED outward.
[0146] The light-emitting part 150 can notify the user of specified information. The light-emitting section 150 can also display information for identifying each game controller to the user when the game device 3 is communicating with multiple game controllers. The light-emitting section 150 can also display other information to the user. The number of light-emitting sections 150 is not particularly limited, for example, four. In this embodiment, the four light-emitting sections 150 are arranged in a left-right direction. For example, it is also possible that a portion or number of the four light-emitting sections 150 corresponding to the identification number assigned to the game controller is lit.
[0147] The light-emitting section 150 is disposed between the upper surface button (right) 110 and the upper surface button (left) 120 in the long side direction of the protrusion 100. The light-emitting section 150 is disposed at a position overlapping with the first terminal 160 in the long side direction of the protrusion 100. From another viewpoint, the light-emitting section 150 is located below the terminal opening 196 when viewed from the front.
[0148] A first buffer 191 and a second buffer 192 are mounted on the top surface 106 of the protrusion 100. The first buffer 191 and the second buffer 192 are mounted on the top surface 106 of the protrusion 100.The height of the top surface of the second buffer 192 relative to the upper side 11 is higher than the height of the top surface 106 of the protrusion 100 relative to the upper side 11. From another viewpoint, the first buffer 191 and the second buffer 192 increase the height of the top surface of the protrusion 100. Alternatively, the first buffer 191 and the second buffer 192 may be omitted.
[0149] The game controller 1 may also be mounted with the top surface of the protrusion 100 facing the ground surface such as a table. In this case, the portion of the top surface 106 of the protrusion 100 without buffers directly contacting the ground surface is prevented by the first buffer 191 and the second buffer 192 contacting the ground surface themselves. In addition, when the first game controller 1 is installed on the game device 3, the top surface of the first buffer 191 and the top surface of the second buffer 192 will contact the bottom surface 3121 of the game device side recess 310.
[0150] Regarding the height relative to the upper side 11, the height of the top surfaces of the first buffer 191 and the second buffer 192 is equal to or higher than the highest height of the top surface 106 of the protrusion 100 as per specification page 14 / 44, 20 CN 121944503 A. From another viewpoint, the top surfaces of the first buffer 191 and the second buffer 192 are located at the uppermost side of the first game controller 1. The shape of the first buffer 191 is not particularly limited; for example, it can be any shape such as circular, elliptical, or rectangular. The first buffer 191 may also have a through hole. The shapes of the first buffer 191 and the second buffer 192 can be the same or different.
[0151] In the long side direction of the protrusion 100, the first buffer 191 is located on the right side 12, closer to the upper surface button (right) 110. In the long side direction of the protrusion 100, the upper surface button (right) 110 is located between the first terminal 160 and the first buffer 191.
[0152] In the long side direction of the protrusion 100, the second buffer 192 is located on the left side 14 side of the upper surface button (left) 120. In the long side direction of the protrusion 100, the upper surface button (left) 120 is located between the first terminal 160 and the second buffer 192. More specifically, in the long side direction of the protrusion 100, the upper surface button (left) 120 is located between the synchronization button 50 and the second buffer 192.
[0153] The protrusion 100 may also be divided. The protrusion 100 may, for example, be composed of multiple protruding members. The mounting structure of the game controller 1 is not limited to the protrusion 100. The game controller 1 may also have a mounting portion other than the protrusion 100. Alternatively, in the mounting portion other than the protrusion 100, the first opening 170 for mouse operation may open in the direction facing the upper side 11.
[0154] FIG13 is a partial cross-sectional schematic diagram along line XIII-XIII of FIG11. Below, we will discuss the upper surface button (right) 110 and...The surrounding structure is described in detail. In this embodiment, the structure of the upper surface button (left) 120 and its surrounding structure is substantially symmetrical with that of the upper surface button (right) 110 and its surrounding structure in the left-right direction.
[0155] As shown in FIG13, the portion of the upper surface button (right) 110 exposed from the top surface of the protrusion 100 forms an operation surface 115 for user operation. The upper surface button (right) 110 has a main body 114, a side wall 118, a flange 113, a first protrusion 111, and a second protrusion 112, including the operation surface 115. The operation surface 115 extends along the long side direction of the protrusion 100 on the top surface 106 of the protrusion 100. In other words, the long side direction of the operation surface 115 is the left-right direction. From other viewpoints, the long side direction of the operation surface 115 is consistent with the long side direction of the protrusion 100.
[0156] In this embodiment, the upper surface button (right) 110 is a single component, the entire of which comprises a material that, although not a magnet, is attracted to a magnet. The material of the upper surface button (right) 110 is not particularly limited and may include a soft magnetic material. The material of the upper surface button (right) 110 may be iron, for example, or cold-rolled steel sheet (SPCC). In addition, the material of the upper surface button (right) 110 may also be a material containing iron. For example, the material of the upper surface button (right) 110 may be a material made by adding silicon and / or nickel to iron. In addition, as an example, the upper surface button (right) 110 may also be a single component molded from resin in a soft magnet.
[0157] Furthermore, in other ways, the upper surface button (right) 110 may also include a magnet, or a combination of a magnet and a soft magnet may be used.
[0158] In other ways, the upper surface button (right) 110 may include only a portion thereof as a soft magnet or a magnet. In this case, at least the portion exposed from the top surface 106 of the protrusion 100 may include a soft magnet or a magnet. Alternatively, at least the portion forming the operating surface 115 may include a soft magnet or a magnet.
[0159] The operating surface 115 is the operating surface of the upper surface button (right) 110 exposed from the fifth opening 197 and pressed by the user. The operating surface 115 faces the first direction R1. The operating surface 115 extends in the left-right direction. The length of the operating surface 115 in the left-right direction may be more than 10% of the length of the top surface 106 of the protrusion 100 in the left-right direction, or more than 20%. In addition, the length of the operating surface 115 in the left-right direction may be more than 10% of the length of the upper side surface 11 of the protrusion 100 in the left-right direction, or more than 20%.
[0160] As shown in FIG13, a tactile switch 117 is provided below the first protrusion 111. Tactile switch 117 is configured on page 15 / 44 of the flexible instruction manual, 21 CN 121944503 A, printed circuit 90 (hereinafter, also referred to as FPC).90) Above. The upper part of the tactile switch 117 is a leaf spring.
[0161] When the upper surface button (right) 110 is not pressed by the user, the first protrusion 111 is supported from below by the tactile switch 117. When the user presses the upper surface button (right) 110, the upper surface button (right) 110 moves downward from its initial position. The upper part of the tactile switch 117 is pressed down by the first protrusion 111 of the upper surface button (right) 110 moving downward. The upper part of the tactile switch 117 deforms by sinking downward when pressed. Thus, the switch is turned on inside the tactile switch. When the user releases his hand from the upper surface button (right) 110, the upper part of the tactile switch 117 returns to its original shape. By restoring the shape of the upper part of the tactile switch 117, the first protrusion 111 is pushed back upward. Therefore, the upper surface button (right) 110 moves to its initial position. That is, when the upper surface button (right) 110 is pressed, the tactile switch 117 applies force in the opposite direction to the pressing direction of the upper surface button (right) 110. Furthermore, the tactile switch 117 can also apply force in the opposite direction to the pressing direction of the upper surface button (right) 110 when the upper surface button (right) 110 is not pressed.
[0162] Alternatively, the upper surface button (right) 110 can be forceped upwards by a force-applying body such as a spring. That is, the upper surface button (right) 110 can be forceped upwards by a force-applying body such as a spring when it is not pressed by the user, thereby separating it from the tactile switch 117. Alternatively, a rubber switch can be used instead of the tactile switch 117.
[0163] The second protrusion 112 protrudes from the back of the main body 114 in a third direction R3. The number of second protrusions 112 is not particularly limited. In this embodiment, two second protrusions 112 are provided such that the first protrusion 111 is sandwiched in the middle in the left-right direction. A ground electrode is provided below the second protrusions 112 and on the FPC 90. In the up-down direction, a grounding part 51 is provided between the second protrusions 112 and the ground electrode. The grounding part 51 is conductive. The shape and material of the grounding part 51 are not particularly limited. In this embodiment, it is an iron helical spring. The upper end of the grounding part 51 is connected to the back of the main body 114, thereby conducting with the main body. The lower end of the second protrusions 112 is surrounded by the grounding part 51, which is a helical spring. The lower end of the grounding part 51 is connected to the ground electrode.
[0164] In this embodiment, the upper surface button (right) 110 is a soft magnetic material, which, for example, includes iron and is therefore conductive. Therefore, there is a concern that the potential of the upper surface button (right) 110 may change due to contact between a charged object and the button, thereby affecting the internal electronic components of the protrusion 100 or the controller housing 10. However, in this embodiment...In this embodiment, the upper surface button (right) 110 is electrically connected to the ground electrode through the grounding portion 51, thereby making the potential of the upper surface button (right) 110 ground potential. Therefore, even if a charged object comes into contact with the upper surface button (right) 110, the possibility of affecting the internal electronic components is suppressed.
[0165] Furthermore, in this embodiment, since the grounding portion 51 is a compressed helical spring, the upper surface button (right) 110 is subjected to an upward force by the helical spring. In this embodiment, since the force applied by the helical spring is small, the upper surface button (right) 110 is in contact with the upper part of the tactile switch 117 in the initial position. In other embodiments, the upper surface button (right) 110 may also be separated from the tactile switch 117 in the initial position by the force applied by the helical spring, which is the grounding portion 51. In addition, in other embodiments, the first game controller 1 may not have a grounding portion 51.
[0166] As shown in Figures 12 and 13, the upper surface button (right) 110 has a main body 114 whose surface forms an operating surface, a sidewall 118 extending from the lower surface of the main body 114, and a flange 113 extending outward from the sidewall 118. The sidewall 118 extends through the fifth opening 197 into the protrusion 100. The flange 113 extends outward from the sidewall 118 inside the protrusion 100. The flange may also extend outward from the lower end of the sidewall 118. The flange 113 has a flange portion that protrudes to the right from the right end of the sidewall 118 and a flange portion that extends to the left from the left end of the sidewall 118. The upper surface of the flange 113 faces a portion of the surface inside the protrusion 100 (hereinafter referred to as the first inner surface 71) in a direction opposite to the pressing direction of the upper surface button (right) 110. Furthermore, the first inner surface 71 may not be the inner surface of the protrusion 100 itself. The upper surface of flange 113 is located relative to the first inner surface 71 in the pressing direction of upper surface button (right) 110. Therefore, flange 113 has the function of preventing upper surface button (right) 110 from falling off by directly or indirectly engaging with the first inner surface 71.
[0167] In addition, the outer peripheral surface of sidewall 118 faces a portion of the surface inside protrusion 100 (hereinafter referred to as second inner surface 72) in the left-right direction. Furthermore, second inner surface 72 may not be the inner surface of protrusion 100 itself. The outer peripheral surface of sidewall 118 is located relative to second inner surface 72 in a direction perpendicular to the pressing direction of upper surface button (right) 110.
[0168] The first game controller 1 has a first elastic deformable body 52 between the upper surface of flange 113 and the first inner surface 71. The first elastic deformable body 52 is elastically deformed by the application of force and elastically restored by the removal of force. The material of the first elastic deformable body 52 is not particularly limited; for example, it could be rubber.
[0169] The first elastic deformable element 52 can also be fixed to the first inner surface 71. The first elastic deformable element 52 can be fixed to the first inner surface 71, for example, using an adhesive material, or by being inserted into a hole formed in the first inner surface 71.
[0170] When the upper surface button (right) 110 is in the initial position, the first elastic deformable element 52 is in contact with the first inner surface 71 and the flange 113. At this time, the upper surface button (right) 110 can also be maintained in the initial position by balancing the force applied in the opposite direction to the pressing direction generated by the tactile switch 117 or the grounding portion 51 with the force applied in the pressing direction generated by the first elastic deformable element 52. In addition, when the upper surface button (right) 110 is in the initial position, the first elastic deformable element 52 can be in contact with only one of the first inner surface 71 and the flange 113, or it can be in contact with neither.
[0171] The first elastic deformable body 52 is disposed in the left-right direction between the outer peripheral surface of the sidewall 118 and the second inner surface 72, and is closer to the second inner surface 72. The first elastic deformable body 52 is separate from the sidewall 118. The first elastic deformable body 52 may also be in contact with the second inner surface 72. Alternatively, the first elastic deformable body 52 may also be separate from the second inner surface 72. In this case, in the left-right direction, the distance between the second inner surface 72 and the first elastic deformable body 52 is smaller than the distance between the sidewall 118 and the first elastic deformable body 52. In addition, in other ways, the first elastic deformable body 52 may also be disposed on the side closer to the sidewall 118.
[0172] When the first game controller 1 is installed on the game device 3, the upper surface button (right) 110 is attracted to the magnetic element 410 on the first game device side. FIG14 is a cross-sectional schematic diagram showing the state in which the upper surface button (right) 110 is attracted to the magnetic element 410 on the first game device side.
[0173] As shown in FIG14, when the first game controller 1 is installed on the game device 3, the upper surface button (right) 110 faces the magnetic element 410 on the first game device side. In this embodiment, since the upper surface button (right) 110 includes a soft magnet, when the magnetic element 410 on the first game device side approaches the upper surface button (right) 110, the upper surface button (right) 110 is pulled to the magnetic element 410 on the first game device side by magnetic force. Thus, a force opposite to the pressing direction is applied to the upper surface button (right) 110. At this time, the first elastic deformable body 52 disposed between the flange 113 and the first inner surface 71 is pressed towards the first inner surface 71 through the flange 113, thereby performing elastic deformation that contracts in the opposite direction to the pressing direction. As a result, the upper surface button (right) 110 moves in the opposite direction to the pressing direction. That is, the upper surface button (right) 110 moves from the position where it is not pressed by the user, i.e., the initial position, in the opposite direction to the pressing direction. The pressing direction is, for example, a third-party...Towards R3. The direction opposite to the pressing direction is, for example, the first direction R1.
[0174] The upper surface button (left) 120 also has the same structure as the upper surface button (right) 110. A tactile switch 127 is provided below the upper surface button (left) 120, and the tactile switch 127 applies force in the direction opposite to the pressing direction when at least the upper surface button (left) 120 is pressed. The upper surface button (left) 120 has a main body 124, a side wall 128, and a flange 123 (see FIG16). A second elastic deformable body 54 is disposed between the upper surface of the flange 123 and the first inner surface 73. The second elastic deformable body 54 may also be fixed to the first inner surface 73. The second elastic deformable body 54 may also be disposed in the left-right direction between the outer peripheral surface of the side wall 128 and the second inner surface 74 and on the side closer to the second inner surface 74.
[0175] FIG15 is a schematic diagram viewed from the inside of the protrusion 100 in the direction of the top surface 106, and is a schematic diagram of the upper surface of the structure of the first elastic deformable body 52 as described on page 17 / 44 of the specification, CN 121944503 A. FIG15 shows the first elastic deformable body 52 and the protrusion 100. The first elastic deformable body 52 has a first elastic portion 52a and a second elastic portion 52b. The second elastic portion 52b is separate from the first elastic portion 52a. In the left-right direction, the first elastic portion 52a is located on the second direction R2 side relative to the fifth opening 197. In the left-right direction, the second elastic portion 52b is located on the fourth direction R4 side relative to the fifth opening 197.
[0176] A portion of the first elastic deformable body 52 protrudes from the outer peripheral surface 107 of the protrusion 100. Specifically, the first elastic portion 52a is provided in such a way that it protrudes from the inside of the protrusion 100 to the outside through the opening formed in the outer peripheral surface 107 of the protrusion 100. The second elastic portion 52b can also be disposed inside the protrusion 100 and not protrude outward. Furthermore, the opening for the first elastic deformable body 52 to protrude can also be formed on the outer peripheral surface 107 of the protrusion 100 through a notch formed in the protrusion 100 and the upper side surface 11.
[0177] The first elastic portion 52a has a first elastic region 52c and a second elastic region 52d. In the vertical direction, the first elastic region 52c is located below the second elastic region 52d. In the horizontal direction, the first elastic region 52c can also be located on the second direction R2 side, compared to the second elastic region 52d. A portion of the first elastic region 52c protrudes from the outer peripheral surface 107 of the protrusion 100. The second elastic region 52d is located inside the protrusion 100.
[0178] As shown in Figures 10 and 12, the first elastic deformable body 52 is disposed on the back side 16 side of the outer peripheral surface 107. From another viewpoint, the first elastic deformable body 52 protrudes from the outer peripheral surface 107 of the protrusion 100 in the sixth direction R6. Therefore, in the longitudinal grip positionIn a horizontal grip position, the user facing the front 15 of the first game controller 1 may not easily visually identify the first elastic deformable body 52. Furthermore, the first elastic deformable body 52 may also be provided on the front 15 side of the outer peripheral surface 107, or it may only be provided on the front 15 side.
[0179] When the protrusion 100 is inserted into the recess 310 on the game device side, the outer peripheral surface 107 faces the inner peripheral surface 3120 on the game device side. At this time, the first elastic deformable body 52 provided on the outer peripheral surface 107 may also contact the opposing inner peripheral surface 3120 on the game device side. Thus, the protrusion 100 is more securely mounted in the recess 310 on the game device side. More specifically, through contact between the inner peripheral surface 3120 on the game device side facing the back side of the outer peripheral surface 107 and the first elastic deformable body 52, the protrusion 100 is subjected to force in the front direction by the inner peripheral surface 3120 on the game device side via the first elastic deformable body 52. As a result, the front side of the outer peripheral surface 107 of the protrusion 100 presses against the opposing inner peripheral surface 3120 of the gaming device side, making the installation secure.
[0180] In addition, since the first elastic deformable body 52 can elastically deform, when the protrusion 100 is inserted into the gaming device side recess 310, it elastically deforms in a way that shrinks in the front-rear direction, thus suppressing the reduction of installation performance. Furthermore, in this embodiment, the first elastic deformable body 52 protrudes from the root of the outer peripheral surface 107. That is, the protruding first elastic deformable body 52 is adjacent to the upper side surface 11. From another viewpoint, the upper end of the first elastic deformable body is lower than the top surface of the protrusion 100. Therefore, when the protrusion 100 is inserted into the gaming device side recess 310, it first enters the gaming device side recess 310 from the portion of the outer peripheral surface 107 where the first elastic deformable body 52 is not provided. That is, at the beginning of insertion, the first elastic deformable body 52 does not contact the inner peripheral surface 3120 of the gaming device side. Therefore, the reduction of installation performance is suppressed.
[0181] Alternatively, the second elastic deformable body 54 may also protrude partially from the opening on the outer peripheral surface of the protrusion 100, similar to the first elastic deformable body 52. Furthermore, the second elastic deformable body 54 may also protrude from the same surface on the outer peripheral surface 107 as the surface on which the first elastic deformable body 52 protrudes. Both the first elastic deformable body 52 and the second elastic deformable body 54 may protrude from the back side of the outer peripheral surface 107.
[0182] Furthermore, the elastic deformable body provided on the outer peripheral surface 107 may be separate from the elastic deformable bodies 52 and 54 provided on the upper surface of the flange 113. In this case, their respective materials may be different. In this case, the elastic deformable body may also be provided on the back side of the outer peripheral surface 107. Alternatively, instead of the elastic deformable bodies 52 and 54, the protrusions 52 and 54 may be formed by the outer peripheral surface 107 itself partially protruding in the positions and shapes of the elastic deformable bodies 52 and 54 as described above. In this case, you can also refer to page 18 / 44 of the instruction manual, 24 CN 121944503 A.Yes, when the protrusion 100 is inserted into the recess 310 on the gaming device side, the protrusions 52, 54 or the protrusion 100 including the protrusions 52, 54 deform.
[0183] As shown in Figures 10 to 13, the top surface 106 of the protrusion 100 has regions with different heights relative to the upper side surface 11. The top surface 106 of the protrusion 100 has a first region 101, a second region 102, a third region 103, a fourth region 104, and a fifth region 105.
[0184] The first region 101 is the region where the upper surface button (right) 110 is provided on the outer shell of the top surface 106 of the protrusion 100. The upper surface button (right) 110 is provided in a manner that passes through the fifth opening 197 formed in the first region 101. Similarly, the second region 102 is the region where the upper surface button (left) 120 is provided. The upper surface button (left) 120 is provided in a manner that passes through the sixth opening 198 formed in the second region 102.
[0185] As shown in FIG11, the third region 103 is the region of the top surface 106 of the housing forming the top surface 106 of the protrusion 100, including one end region of the protrusion 100. From another viewpoint, the third region 103 is connected to the end face of the outer peripheral surface 107 of the protrusion 100 on the second direction R2 side. The third region 103 is located on the first direction R1 side, which is closer to the first region 101 and the second region 102 than the respective regions of the first region 101 and the second region 102. In the long side direction of the protrusion 100, the length of the third region 103 may also be shorter than the lengths of the first region 101 and the second region 102.
[0186] A first buffer 191 is provided in the third region 103. More specifically, as shown in FIG13, the first buffer 191 is disposed in a recess provided in the third region 103. A portion of the first buffer 191 protrudes from the recess. Alternatively, the third region 103 may be flat without a recess. The first buffer 191 may also be placed on the flat surface of the third region.
[0187] As shown in FIG11, the fifth region 105 is the region of the top surface 106 of the outer shell forming the top surface 106 of the protrusion 100, including the region at another end of the protrusion 100. From another viewpoint, the fifth region 105 is connected to the end face of the outer peripheral surface 107 of the protrusion 100 on the fourth direction R4 side. The fifth region 105 is the region located on the first direction R1 side, which is closer to the first region 101 and the second region 102 than the regions of the first region 101 and the second region 102. In the long side direction of the protrusion 100, the length of the fifth region 105 may also be shorter than the length of the first region 101 and the second region 102 respectively.
[0188] A second buffer 192 is provided in the fifth region 105. The second buffer 192 is disposed in a recess provided in the fifth region 105. A portion of the second buffer 192 protrudes from the recess. In addition, the fifth region 105 may also be flat without a recess. The second buffer 192 may also be placed on the flat surface of the fifth region. The first buffers 191 and 192 may also be said to increase the height of the protrusion. The height of part 100 relative to the upper side surface 11.
[0189] The fourth region 104 is the region of the outer shell of the top surface 106 forming the protrusion 100, located between the first region 101 and the second region 102 in the long side direction of the top surface 106. A terminal opening 196 and a synchronization button opening 195 are provided in the fourth region.
[0190] The third region 103 is located on the convex side of the fourth region 104. The fifth region 105 is located on the convex side of the fourth region 104.
[0191] In the long side direction of the protrusion 100, the first region 101 is located between the third region 103 and the fourth region 104. In the long side direction of the protrusion 100, the second region 102 is located between the fifth region 105 and the fourth region 104. In the long side direction of the protrusion 100, the first region 101, the second region 102, and the fourth region 104 are each located between the third region 103 and the fifth region 105.
[0192] As shown in FIG13, the height of the first region 101 relative to the upper side 11 is a first height T1. From another viewpoint, in the vertical direction, the distance from the upper side 11 to the first region 101 is the first height T1. Similarly, the height of the second region 102 relative to the upper side 11 is a second height T2. From another viewpoint, in the vertical direction, the distance from the upper side 11 to the second region 102 is the second height T2. In this embodiment, the first height T1 and the second height T2 are the same, but they may also be different. Furthermore, the first region 101 and the second region 102 may also be provided from one end of the top surface 106 to the other end in a direction perpendicular to the long side direction of the protrusion 100.
[0193] The height of the third region 103 relative to the upper side 11 is a third height T3. From another viewpoint, in the vertical direction, the distance from the upper side 11 to the third region 103 is the third height T3. Similarly, the height of the fifth region 105 relative to the upper side 11 is the fifth height T5. From another viewpoint, in the vertical direction, the distance from the upper side 11 to the fifth region 105 is the fifth height T5.
[0194] In this embodiment, the third height T3 is the same as the fifth height T5, but they may also be different. In this embodiment, the third height T3 and the fifth height T5 are higher than the first height T1 and the second height T2, but the third height T3 and the fifth height T5 may be the same as the first height T1 and the second height T2, or the third height T3 and the fifth height T5 may be lower than the first height T1 and the second height T2. In addition, the third region 103 and the fifth region 105 may also be provided from one end of the top surface 106 to the other end in a direction perpendicular to the long side direction of the protrusion 100.
[0195] The height of the fourth region 104 relative to the upper side 11 is the fourth height T4. From another viewpoint, in the vertical direction, the distance from the upper side 11 to the fifth region 105 is the fifth height T4.The distance from the upper side 11 to the fourth region 104 is the fourth height T4. In this embodiment, the fourth height T4 is higher than the first height T1 and the second height T2, but the fourth height T4 may be the same as the first height T1 and the second height T2, or the fourth height T4 may be lower than the first height T1 and the second height T2. In this embodiment, the fourth height T4 is lower than the third height T3 and the fifth height T5, but the fourth height T4 may be the same as the third height T3 and the fifth height T5, or the fourth height T4 may be higher than the third height T3 and the fifth height T5. In addition, the fourth region 104 may also be provided from one end of the top surface 106 to the other end in a direction perpendicular to the long side direction of the protrusion 100.
[0196] The height of the top surface of the first buffer member 191 relative to the upper side 11 is the sixth height T6. From another viewpoint, in the vertical direction, the distance from the upper side 11 to the top surface of the first buffer member 191 is the sixth height T6. Similarly, the height of the top surface of the second buffer member 192 relative to the upper side 11 is the seventh height T7. From another perspective, in the vertical direction, the distance from the upper side 11 to the top surface of the second buffer 192 is the seventh height T7.
[0197] When the upper surface button (right) 110 is in its initial position, the height of the operating surface 115 relative to the upper side 11 is the eighth height T8. From another perspective, in the vertical direction, the distance from the upper side 11 to the operating surface 115 is the eighth height T8. Similarly, when the upper surface button (left) 120 is in its initial position, the height of the operating surface 125 relative to the upper side 11 is the ninth height T9. From another perspective, in the vertical direction, the distance from the upper side 11 to the operating surface 125 is the ninth height T9.
[0198] As shown in Figures 13 and 14, the upper surface button (right) 110 can move upward. As shown in Figure 14, when the upper surface button (right) 110 is attracted to the magnetic element 410 on the first game device side and contacts the bottom surface 3121 on the game device side, the height of the operating surface 115 relative to the upper side 11 is the tenth height T10. Similarly, the upper surface button (left) 120 is attracted to the magnetic element 420 on the second game device side, and the operating surface 125, when in contact with the bottom surface 3121 on the game device side, is at an eleventh height T11 relative to the upper side surface 11.
[0199] <Connection Structure>
[0200] FIG16 is a cross-sectional schematic diagram showing the state in which the game controller is assembled on the game device 3. The cross-sectional schematic diagram shown in FIG16 is parallel to the left-right and up-down directions.
[0201] As shown in FIG16, the protrusion 100 of the first game controller 1 is embedded into the game device side recess 310 of the game device 3. The upper surface button (right) 110 is attracted to the magnetic element 410 on the first game device side by magnetic force. In the left-right direction, the upper surface button (right) 120 is attracted to the magnetic element 410 on the first game device side. In the left-right direction, the upper surface button (right) 120 is attracted to the magnetic element 410 on the first game device side by magnetic force. The length of the top surface of the surface button (right) 110 (third length W3) is longer than the length of the first game device side magnetic element 410 (first length W1). It is magnetically attached to the first game device side magnetic element 410. The upper surface button (left) 120 is magnetically attached to the second game device side magnetic element 420. In the left-right direction, the length of the top surface of the upper surface button (left) 120 (fourth specification 20 / 44 page 26 CN 121944503 A length W4) is longer than the length of the second game device side magnetic element 420 (second length W2). The upper surface button (left) 120 also has a first protrusion 121 and a second protrusion 122.
[0202] <Disassembly Mechanism>
[0203] FIG17 is a rear view showing the structure of the game controller. FIG18 is a cross-sectional view along line XVIII-XVIII of FIG17. As shown in Figure 18, the first game controller 1 has a push rod 181, a push rod operating member 186, and a force application part 183. These constitute a disassembly mechanism. The push rod operating member 186 has an operating part 182, a push rod actuation part 185, and a rotation axis 184.
[0204] According to the user operating the operating part 182, the push rod 181 protrudes from the top surface 106 of the protrusion 100. When the first game controller 1 is installed on the game device 3, the protruding push rod 181 pushes the bottom surface 3121 of the game device side recess 310. By pushing the bottom surface 3121 of the game device side with the push rod 181, the top surface 106 of the protrusion 100 moves away from the bottom surface 3121 of the game device side. The first game controller 1 rotates with the end opposite to the end where the push rod 181 is provided as a fulcrum. Based on the above, the first game controller 1 can be easily removed from the game device 3.
[0205] Furthermore, the push rod 181 may also protrude from a position to the right of the operating portion 182 in the long side direction of the protrusion 100. In the long side direction of the protrusion 100, the center of the push rod 181 may also be located to the right of the center of the operating portion 182. The push rod 181 may also protrude from a position to the right of the first elastic deformable body 52 in the long side direction of the protrusion 100. In the long side direction of the protrusion 100, the center of the push rod 181 may also be located to the right of the center of the first elastic deformable body 52.
[0206] In addition, the amount of protrusion of the push rod 181 may also be the size by which the operating surface 115 of the upper surface button (right) 110 is separated from the surface of the cover member 338 of the game device side bottom surface 3121 constituting the game device side recess 310 by the protrusion of the push rod 181. From another perspective, the protrusion of the push rod 181 could also be such that even if the upper surface button (right) 110 is attracted to the magnetic element 410 on the first gaming device side and moves upward to its maximum extent, the operating surface 115 of the upper surface button (right) 110 would still be in contact with the structure. The size by which the surface of the cover member 338 of the game device side bottom surface 3121 of the game device side recess 310 is separated. This allows for easy removal of the first game controller 1 from the game device 3. Furthermore, the protrusion amount of the push rod 181 can also be such that at least a portion of the operating surface 125 of the upper surface button (left) 120 does not separate from the surface of the cover member 338. This prevents the first game controller 1 from being removed from the game device 3 too quickly.
[0207] Additionally, the protrusion amount of the push rod 181 can also be such that the right end of the top surface 106 of the protrusion 100 (the end on the second direction R2 side in FIG. 11) is exposed from the opening of the game device side recess 310 by the protrusion of the push rod 181. Furthermore, the protrusion amount of the push rod 181 can also be such that even if the push rod 181 protrudes, the right end of the top surface 106 is not exposed from the opening of the game device side recess 310. Furthermore, the protrusion of the push rod 181 can also be such that the first elastic deformable body 52, which protrudes from the outer peripheral surface 107 of the protrusion 100, is entirely exposed through the opening of the game device-side recess 310. On the other hand, the second elastic deformable body 54, which protrudes from the outer peripheral surface 107, can also only be partially exposed through the opening of the game device-side recess 310. Additionally, the protrusion of the push rod 181 can also be such that even if the push rod 181 protrudes, the light-emitting portion 150 provided on the outer peripheral surface 107 will not be exposed through the opening of the game device-side recess 310. Furthermore, the protrusion of the push rod 181 can also be such that the right end of the upper side surface 11 (the second direction R2 side end in FIG. 11) is separated from the upper end of the right side surface 313 of the main body by, for example, a distance between 0.5 mm and 1 cm. Moreover, the separation distance can be, for example, between 1 mm and 5 mm. The separation distance can also be, for example, 2 mm.
[0208] As shown in Figures 17 and 18, the operation section 182 is provided, for example, on the back surface 16. The operation section 182 is arranged to protrude from an opening provided on the back surface 16. The operation section 182 is operated by the user. In addition, the back surface 16 has a protrusion 18. The protrusion 18 is located on the third direction R3 side relative to the operation section 182. The protrusion 18 protrudes from the back surface 16 in the sixth direction R6. Furthermore, the protrusion 18 protrudes from the back surface 16 toward the back side in such a way that it covers the Z shoulder button (right) 140 from below. For example, the protrusion 18 may also be configured such that when the first game controller 1 is mounted with the back surface 16 facing the ground, the protrusion 18 contacts the ground while the Z shoulder button (right) 140 does not touch the ground. The operation section 182 is operated in the direction of arrow A3. Arrow A3 indicates the direction of rotation from the right side 313 of the main body to the right, and simultaneously from the back side of the game device 3 to the front side. Additionally,From another perspective, the direction of arrow A3 is the rotational direction of the first game controller 1, moving towards the third direction R3 and simultaneously towards the fifth direction R5. Additionally, from another perspective, the operating unit 182 is operated towards the protrusion 18. Furthermore, the operating unit 182 can also be configured to be operated in a direction parallel to the third direction R3. Figure 18 shows the state (natural state) before the operating unit 182 is operated.
[0209] Figure 19 is a cross-sectional schematic diagram showing the state in which the operating unit 182 is being operated. The rotation axis 184 rotates together with the push rod actuation unit 185 by operating the operating unit 182. The push rod actuation unit 185 causes the push rod 181 to protrude.
[0210] Before the operating unit 182 is operated, the push rod 181 is disposed inside the protrusion 100. The force-applying part 183 applies force to the push rod 181 towards the third direction R3. The force-applying part 183 is, for example, a coil spring. When the user operates the operating unit 182 in the third direction R3, the rotating shaft 184 rotates together with the operating unit 182 and the push rod actuation unit 185, and the push rod actuation unit 185 pushes the push rod 181 in the first direction R1. A portion of the push rod 181 protrudes from the protrusion 100. When the user releases their hand from the operating unit 182, the force application part 183 extends, thereby moving the push rod 181 in the third direction R3. Thus, the push rod 181 returns to its natural position.
[0211] As shown in Figures 18 and 19, the operating unit 182 is operated at least in the third direction R3. In this embodiment, the operating unit 182 is rotated in a direction that includes the third direction R3 and the fifth direction R5. That is, regarding the operating direction of the operating unit 182, from the rear view of the first game controller 1, it is the third direction R3 (away from the upper side 11), and from the side view, it is the fifth direction R5 (closer to the rear). The operated operating unit 182 is embedded in the protrusion 18. Furthermore, the operating part 182 may not be entirely embedded. A portion of the operating part 182 protrudes from the protrusion 18. When the operating part 182 is operated toward a third direction R3, the push rod 181 moves toward a first direction R1. From another viewpoint, the push rod 181 moves toward a side opposite to the operating direction of the operating part 182.
[0212] FIG20 is a cross-sectional view along line XX-XX of FIG11. The cross-sectional view shown in FIG20 is parallel to the front-back and up-down directions.
[0213] The female connector 162 has a first terminal 160 and a socket 161. The inner wall surface 166 of the socket 161 forms at least a portion of the terminal receiving portion 167. The inner wall surface 166 of the socket 161 communicates with a terminal opening 196 provided on the top surface 106 of the protrusion 100. The inner wall surface 166 of the socket 161 may also be inclined such that the cross-sectional area decreases as it extends deeper from the terminal opening 196 side. Furthermore, the first game controller 1 may also omit the female connector 162, and instead be recessed via the top surface 106 of the protrusion 100.The terminal receiving portion 167 is formed.
[0214] The inner wall surface 166 of the socket 161 may also have a first back side wall surface 165 and a first front side wall surface 164. The first front side wall surface 164 is the wall surface on the front side of the first game controller 1 in the inner wall surface 166. The first back side wall surface 165 is the wall surface on the back side of the first game controller 1 in the inner wall surface 166. The first back side wall surface 165 faces the first front side wall surface 164.
[0215] A slit extending in the vertical direction (i.e., the convex direction of the protrusion 100) is provided in the wall portion forming the first back side wall surface 165. The first terminal 160 extends in the direction of the slit, and a portion of it passes through the slit and protrudes from the first back side wall surface 165. That is, the first terminal 160 is provided along the first back side wall surface 165. From another viewpoint, the first terminal 160 is provided along the inner peripheral surface of the terminal receiving portion 167. The first terminal 160 is not disposed along the first front sidewall 164. Alternatively, in other embodiments, the first terminal 160 may be disposed along the first front sidewall 164. Additionally, the first terminal 160 may be disposed along each of the first front sidewall 164 and the first back sidewall 165.
[0216] The first terminal 160 may also be a leaf spring. The upper end of the first terminal 160 extends to a position below the terminal opening 196. Therefore, in the vertical direction, the upper end of the first terminal 160 is higher than the upper sidewall 11 and lower than the top surface of the protrusion 100. Furthermore, the lower end of the first terminal 160 may be higher or lower than the upper sidewall 11.
[0217] As shown in FIG20, the first plug connector 330 of this embodiment is inserted into the terminal receiving portion 167. More specifically, the tongue 332, which has a main body first terminal 331, is inserted into the terminal receiving portion 167. The main body first terminal 331 is disposed on the back side of the tongue 332. Inside the terminal receiving portion 167, the first terminal 160 is connected to the main body first terminal 331. The main body first terminal 331 may also contact the portion of the first terminal 160 protruding from the slit.
[0218] When the user holds the game controller with both hands and uses it in the integrated grip state, the game device 3 may be slightly closer to the back side of the game controller due to its weight. At this time, for example, the tongue 332 may be closer to the back side inside the terminal receiving portion 167, and since the first terminal 160 is disposed along the first back side wall 165, it is easy to maintain the contact between the first terminal 160 and the main body first terminal 331 disposed on the tongue 332. In addition, when the user holds the game controller in the integrated grip state with one hand, for example, when only holding the first game controller 1, the game device 3 may be slightly closer to the back side of the game controller due to its weight. The first game controller 1 is tilted towards the back side with the holding side as the fulcrum. At this time, in terms of the distance between the upper side 11 of the first game controller 1 and the right side 313 of the main body of the game device 3, the distance on the front side may be greater than the distance on the back side. That is, the first game controller 1 may be more separated from the game device 3 on the front side than on the back side. In this embodiment, since the first terminal 160 is provided along the first back side wall 165, it is easy to maintain contact between the first terminal 160 and the main body first terminal 331. In addition, the first terminal 160 is provided in the first back side wall 165 at a position close to the main body first terminal 331 of the tongue 332 when the game device 3 is tilted towards the back side relative to the first game controller 1 side, thereby making it easier to maintain contact with the main body first terminal 331.
[0219] In addition, since the upper end of the first terminal 160 is lower than the top surface 106 of the protrusion 100, the first terminal 160 is not easily touched by the user when the user operates the first game controller 1. Furthermore, since the first terminal 160 is disposed within the terminal receiving portion 167 disposed inside the protrusion 100, the space in the height direction formed by the protrusion 100 is effectively utilized. On the other hand, the main body first terminal 331 needs to protrude in order to connect to the first terminal 160 in the terminal receiving portion 167, and therefore the main body first terminal 331 is disposed within the game device side recess 310. Therefore, the protruding main body first terminal 331 is protected by the game device side inner peripheral surface 3120 of the game device side recess 310.
[0220] In addition, the main body first terminal 331 may also be disposed from the side to the top surface of the tongue 332. From another viewpoint, the main body first terminal 331 may also be disposed from the back side to the right side side of the game device in the surface of the tongue 332. When the tongue 332 is inserted into the terminal receiving portion 167, the front end (right side side) of the tongue 332 may contact the first terminal 160, but in this case, the first terminal 160 can also contact the main body first terminal 331.

The grip button operation surface 720a is exposed from the grip button mounting hole 532a. The grip button operation surface 720a may also be substantially the same surface as the outer surface of the rear grip portion housing 532. The grip button operation surface 720a may also protrude from the grip button mounting hole 532a.
[0248] The grip button body 720b is inserted into the grip button mounting hole 532a. The grip button anti-dislodgement part 720c is connected to the grip button body 720b. The grip button anti-dislodgement part 720c is disposed in the space formed by the front grip housing 531 and the rear grip housing 532. The grip button anti-dislodgement part 720c abuts against the inner wall surface of the rear grip housing 532 to prevent the right grip button 720 from dislodging from the grip button mounting hole 532a. In addition, the left grip button 820 has a structure substantially the same as the right grip button 720.
[0249] As shown in FIG27A, the right contact support member 723 has a first mounting part 723a, a second mounting part 723b, and a contact support body 723c. The first mounting part 723a and the second mounting part 723b are each connected to the contact support body 723c. The contact support body 723c is located between the first assembly part 723a and the second assembly part 723b. The first assembly part 723a is assembled to the first fastened part 541 of the front gripping part housing 531. Similarly, the second assembly part 723b is assembled to the second fastened part 542 of the front gripping part housing 531.
[0250] As shown in FIG26, the first assembly part 723a of the right contact support member 723 is fastened to the rear gripping part housing 532 by fastening member 502 in the state of being assembled to the first fastened part 541. That is, the right contact support member 723 is fastened between the front gripping part housing 531 and the rear gripping part housing 532 by fastening member 502. As a result, the peripheral device 500 becomes compact, and the number of parts can be reduced. In addition, the positional accuracy of the right contact support member 723 with the front gripping part housing 531 and the rear gripping part housing 532 can be improved. Furthermore, the left contact support member 823 has a substantially the same structure as the right contact support member 723.
[0251] As shown in FIG27B, the first upper surface 713 of the right portion of the grip housing 530 of the peripheral device 500 hasThe third part (right) 713c and the fourth part (right) 713d. The third part (right) 713c extends in a direction parallel to the left and right direction. The fourth part (right) 713d is connected to the outer end of the third part (right) 713c. The fourth part (right) 713d is bent downward relative to the third part (right) 713c. When viewed in the front-back direction, the fourth part (right) 713d is inclined in both the up-down direction and the left-right direction relative to the instruction manual page 27 / 44 33 CN 121944503 A.
[0252] The second upper surface 813 located on the left part of the grip housing 530 has a third part (left) 813c and a fourth part (left) 813d. The third part (left) 813c extends in a direction parallel to the left and right direction. The fourth part (left) 813d is connected to the outer end of the third part (left) 813c. The fourth part (left) 813d is bent downward relative to the third part (left) 813c. When viewed along the front-back direction, the fourth part (left) 813d is inclined relative to both the vertical and horizontal directions.
[0253] <Support Part>
[0254] Next, the structure of the support part will be described. FIG29 is a partial cross-sectional schematic diagram showing the structure of the support part 600. As shown in FIG29, the support part 600 of the peripheral device 500 according to this embodiment has a support part housing 640, a substrate 655, a first plug 631, a second plug 632, a first bottom cover 651, and a second circuit 654. The support part housing 640 has a first housing 641, a second housing 642, and a third housing 643. The substrate 655 is disposed inside the support part housing 640.
[0255] The first recess 621 and the second recess 622 are each formed by the third housing 643. When viewed along the horizontal direction, the third housing 643 is annular. The first housing 641 surrounds the third housing 643. The first housing 641 is in contact with the third housing 643. When viewed from the left and right, the first outer shell 641 is annular.
[0256] The material constituting the third outer shell 643 is harder than the materials constituting the first outer shell 641 and the second outer shell 642. This allows for higher strength in both the first recess 621 and the second recess 622. The material constituting the third outer shell 643 is, for example, engineering plastics such as polycarbonate (PC), polyamide (PA), polyoxymethylene (POM), acrylic acid (PMMA), polybutylene terephthalate (PBT), or alloys thereof. The material constituting the first outer shell 641 and the second outer shell 642 is, for example, a general-purpose plastic such as acrylonitrile butadiene styrene (ABS).
[0257] The first outer shell 641, for example, constitutes the front surface 605 of the support portion, the upper surface 603 of the support portion, and the lower surface 604 of the support portion. The first outer shell 641 constitutes a portion of both the right side surface 601 and the left side surface 602 of the support portion. The second outer shell 642The support portion back surface 606 is formed. The third housing 643 forms a portion of the support portion right side surface 601 and the support portion left side surface 602.
[0258] The first plug 631 has a first plug base 631a and a first tongue 631b. The first tongue 631b protrudes from the surface of the first plug base 631a. The first tongue 631b is connected to the first plug base 631a. The first tongue 631b can also be separate from the first plug base 631a. The first tongue 631b protrudes from the bottom surface of the first recess 621. Specifically, a first bottom surface through hole 653 is provided in the first bottom surface cover 651. The first tongue 631b protrudes from the first bottom surface cover 651 through the first bottom surface through hole 653.
[0259] The first tongue 631b is inserted into the first opening 170 of the first game controller 1 installed in the peripheral device 500. The first tongue 631b has a third terminal 631c. The third terminal 631c is electrically connected to the first terminal 160 of the first game controller 1. The second circuit 654 is electrically connected to the third terminal 631c. The peripheral device 500 has a first circuit 533 (see Figure 27A). The first circuit 533 and the second circuit 654 are respectively connected to the substrate 655. The first circuit 533 is electrically connected to the second circuit 654 via the substrate 655. The first circuit 533 is electrically connected to the right contact 722 and the left contact 822 respectively. The first circuit 533, the second circuit 654, and the substrate 655 send signals corresponding to the operation of the right grip button 720 to the first terminal 160 via the third terminal 631c. Thus, processing corresponding to the operation of the grip button can be performed on the game controller side. For example, if the game controller has a communication unit, the signal of the grip button can be sent to the outside of the game device 3, etc., via the communication unit. As an example, the signal of the grip button can be processed by the game device 3 or the application executed by the game device 3 as a signal to perform a specific function, or it can be processed as a signal of other input units.
[0260] With the first game controller 1 installed in the peripheral device 500, the first game controller 1 is charged via the second circuit 654 and the third terminal 631c by supplying power from the outside through the charging external connector 613. The second game controller 2 is also charged in the same way.
[0261] The peripheral device 500 according to this embodiment has a right grip button 720 and a left grip button 820 on its back. Therefore, an additional input unit can be provided.
[0262] The second plug 632 has a second plug base 632a and a second tongue 632b. The second tongue 632b has a structure that is substantially the same as that of the first tongue 631b. The first tongue 631b and the second tongue 632b can each be disposed opposite to the first tongue. The bottom surfaces of the first tongue 631b and the second tongue 632b move slightly. That is, the first tongue 631b and the second tongue 632b each have a floating structure. Therefore, it is easy to insert the first tongue 631b and the second tongue 632b into the terminal opening of the game controller. In addition, with the first tongue 631b and the second tongue 632b each having a terminal, even if the game controller mounted on the support 600 moves slightly relative to the support 600, it is easy to maintain the electrical connection between the game controller and the peripheral device 500.
[0263] FIG30 is a partial cross-sectional schematic diagram along line XXX-XXX of FIG29. FIG30 shows the state after the first bottom cover 651 is removed from the first recess 621. As shown in FIG30 and FIG2, the support 600 of the peripheral device 500 has two peripheral device-side magnetic elements 670 arranged along the long side direction of the first recess 621. One of the two peripheral device-side magnetic elements 670 is disposed on the upper side of the first plug 631. The other of the two peripheral device-side magnetic elements 670 is disposed on the lower side of the first plug 631. The support portion 600 of the peripheral device 500 has two peripheral device-side magnetic elements (not shown) arranged along the long side direction of the second recess 622.
[0264] As shown in FIG30, each of the two peripheral device-side magnetic elements 670 has a magnet 673, a first yoke member 671 and a second yoke member 672. In the front-rear direction, the magnet 673 is located between the first yoke member 671 and the second yoke member 672. The first yoke member 671 and the second yoke member 672 are each attracted to the magnet 673. A magnet through hole 674 is provided on the bottom surface of the third housing 643. The magnet 673, the first yoke member 671 and the second yoke member 672 are disposed in the magnet through hole 674.
[0265] FIG31 is a right side view showing the state after the third housing 643 is removed from FIG30. As shown in Figure 31, the first outer shell 641 has two front ribs 641a and two rear ribs 641b. The first magnetic yoke member 671 is pressed down by the two front ribs 641a. The second magnetic yoke member 672 is pressed down by the two rear ribs 641b. In the vertical direction, the lengths of the first magnetic yoke member 671 and the second magnetic yoke member 672 are greater than the length of the magnet 673.
[0266] Figure 32 is a partial cross-sectional view along line XXXII-XXXII of Figure 30. The cross-section shown in Figure 32 is perpendicular to the front-back direction. The first magnetic yoke member 671 has a magnetic yoke body portion 671a and two flange portions 671b. The two flange portions 671b are disposed on both sides of the magnetic yoke body portion 671a in the vertical direction. The two flange portions 671b abut against the inner wall surface of the third outer shell 643 to prevent the first magnetic yoke member 671 from dislodging from the magnet through hole 674. The second magnetic yoke member 672 has a substantially the same structure as the first magnetic yoke member 671.
[0267] The magnetic button of the first game controller 1 is magnetically attached to the magnet 673 provided in the first recess 621. Specifically, the upper surface button (right) 110 of the first game controller 1 is attached to the magnet 673 provided in the first recess 621 at a position higher than the first plug 631, and the upper surface button (left) 120 of the first game controller 1 is attached to the magnet 673 provided in the first recess 621 at a position lower than the first plug 631. Similarly, the magnetic button of the second game controller 2 is magnetically attached to the magnet 673 provided in the second recess 622.
[0268] Furthermore, the two peripheral device side magnetic elements 670 may not include the yoke. The two peripheral device side magnetic elements 670 may both be arranged in the area higher than the first plug 631, or they may both be arranged in the area lower than the first plug 631.
[0269] <LED component for charging>
[0270] FIG33 is a perspective view showing the structure of the LED lens. As shown in Figure 33, the LED lens 680 has a lens body 682, a lens light-emitting part 681, and a lens protrusion 683. The lens body 682 has, for example, a plate-like shape. The lens light-emitting part 681 is provided on the side of the lens body 682 in the long side direction. The lens protrusion 683 is provided on the side of the lens body 682 in the short side direction.
[0271] Figure 34 is a perspective view showing the structure of the LED lens cover. As shown in Figure 34, the LED lens cover 690 has a lens receiving part 691 and a cover part 692. A lens receiving hole 694 is provided in the lens receiving part 691. The lens body 682 is disposed in the lens receiving hole 694. A position adjustment protrusion 693 is provided in the cover part 692. When the LED lens 680 is positioned in the lens receiving hole 694, the position adjustment protrusion 693 is positioned on both sides of the lens protrusion 683. An LED receiving recess 695 is provided in the lens receiving portion 691. The LED receiving recess 695 is connected to the lens receiving hole 694.
[0272] FIG35 is a perspective view showing the charging LED component. As shown in FIG35, the charging LED component 614 has an LED lens 680 and an LED lens cover 690. With the lens body portion 682 positioned in the lens receiving hole 694, the cover portion 692 is closed to cover the opening of the lens receiving portion 691. The light-emitting portion 681 of the lens is provided through a hole in the LED lens cover 690. The front end of the light-emitting portion 681 is located outside the LED lens cover 690. The rear end of the LED lens 680 protrudes into the LED receiving recess 695. Light enters from the rear end of the LED lens 680, passes through the lens body 682, and exits from the front end of the lens light-emitting part 681.
[0273] Figure 36 is a schematic diagram showing the charging LED component 614 assembled in the housing of the support portion 600. As shown in Figure 36, the LED lens cover 690 is disposed inside the housing 640 of the support portion. The front end of the lens emitting portion 681 is located outside the housing of the support portion 600. As shown in Figure 25, the front end of the lens emitting portion 681 of the LED lens 680 protrudes towards the upper surface 603 of the support portion of the support portion 600.
[0274] Figure 37 is a six-view schematic diagram showing the first game controller 1 and the second game controller 2 installed in the peripheral device 500. As shown in Figure 37, the first game controller 1 is installed on the right side of the support portion 600. At this time, the magnetic button of the first game controller 1 is magnetically attracted to the magnet 673 provided in the first recess 621. The second game controller 2 is installed on the left side of the support portion 600. At this time, the magnetic button of the second game controller 2 is magnetically attracted to the magnet 673 provided in the second recess 622. When the first game controller 1 is installed on the peripheral device 500, the first facing surface 715 of the right grip 700 faces the back of the first game controller 1. Similarly, when the second game controller 2 is installed on the peripheral device 500, the second facing surface 815 of the left grip 800 faces the back of the second game controller 2. A grip module 900 is connected to the rear of the support 600. Hereinafter, the description will be mainly from the viewpoint of the first game controller 1, but unless otherwise specifically mentioned, the same applies to the second game controller 2.
[0275] In the front-back direction, the rear end of the Z shoulder button (right) 140 is located behind the first facing surface 715. In the front-back direction, the rear end of the Z shoulder button (right) 140 is located in front of the rear end of the right grip 700. In the front-back direction, the rear end of the shoulder button (right) 130 is located in front of the first facing surface 715. In the front-rear direction, the rear end of the protrusion 18 is located further rearward than the first opposing surface 715. In the front-rear direction, the rear end of the protrusion 18 is located further forward than the rear end of the right grip 700. When viewed from the top surface, a portion of the upper surface of the grip housing 530 is covered by the Z-shoulder button (right) 140. More specifically, when viewed from the top surface, a portion of the first upper surface 713 of the right grip 700 is covered by the Z-shoulder button (right) 140.
[0276] When viewed from the right side, the grip housing 530 is located behind the first game controller 1. More specifically, the grip housing 530 is located further rearward than the first game controller 1 when it is in the same position as the first game controller 1 in the vertical direction. In addition, from another viewpoint, when viewed from the right side, the grip housing 530 does not cover the first game controller 1 and leaves it exposed. Therefore, it is easy to attach and detach the first game controller 1 from the right side relative to the support 600.
[0277] When viewed from the rear, the grip housing 530 covers a portion of the first game controller 1 and exposes a portion thereof. Specification 30 / 44 pages 36 CN 121944503 A
[0278] In the left-right direction, the right end of the right grip 700 is located to the right of the right end of the first game controller 1.
[0279] In the up-down direction, the upper end of the right grip 700 is located below the upper end of the first game controller 1. In the up-down direction, the lower end of the right grip 700 is located at substantially the same position as the lower end of the first game controller 1 or above the lower end of the first game controller 1. In the up-down direction, the first operating part 182 is located above the upper end of the right grip 700. In the up-down direction, the rear end of the protrusion 18 is located above the upper end of the right grip 700.
[0280] In the vertical direction, the upper surface of the grip housing 530 is located lower than the first operating part 182 and the second operating part 282. More specifically, the portion of the upper surface of the grip housing 530 located between the first operating part 182 and the second operating part 282 in the horizontal direction is located lower than the first operating part 182 and the second operating part 282 in the vertical direction. This portion may also extend parallel to the horizontal direction. Therefore, it is easy for a user holding the peripheral device 500 on which the first game controller 1 and the second game controller 2 are installed to place their fingers on the first operating part 182 and the second operating part 282. Specifically, as an example, interference between the index finger and the upper surface of the grip housing 530 is suppressed when the user extends their right index finger to the inside of the first operating part 182 (the side of the second operating part 282) and presses the first operating part 182 from the inside.
[0281] FIG38 is a cross-sectional schematic diagram showing the structure near the first opposing surface 715 of the right grip portion 700. With the first game controller 1 already installed on the peripheral device 500, the back surface 16 of the first game controller 1 abuts against the elastic member 501. The back surface 16 of the first game controller 1 is separated from the first opposing surface 715 of the right grip portion 700. Alternatively, the elastic member 501 may be pressed against the back surface of the game controller, causing the elastic member 501 to contract in the front-rear direction. In this case, the back surface 16 of the first game controller 1 may also abut against the first opposing surface 715 of the right grip portion 700.
[0282] FIG39 is a back view schematic diagram showing an example of the state in which the first game controller 1 is installed on the peripheral device 500. As shown in FIG39, the lower end of the protrusion 100 of the first game controller 1 is inserted into the first recess 621 of the support portion 600. In this state, the long side direction of the protrusion 100 of the first game controller 1 is relative to the long side direction of the first recess 621 of the support portion 600.Tilt. Next, with the upper end of the protrusion 100 of the first game controller 1 inserted into the first recess 621 of the support portion 600, the first game controller 1 rotates in the first rotation direction A1 on a plane perpendicular to the front-back direction. Thus, with the protrusion 100 of the first game controller 1 inserted into the first recess 621 provided on the right side of the support portion 600, the first game controller 1 is mounted on the peripheral device 500. Furthermore, the method of mounting the first game controller 1 on the peripheral device 500 is not limited to this. For example, the first game controller 1 can also be mounted on the peripheral device 500 by inserting the protrusion 100 into the first recess 621 from a direction perpendicular to the bottom surface of the first recess 621 so that the bottom surface of the first recess 621 is parallel to the long side direction of the protrusion 100.
[0283] According to the peripheral device 500 of this embodiment, the front surface of the right grip portion 700 is located behind the support portion 600 in the front-back direction (see FIG22). Therefore, when the first game controller 1 is brought close to the first recess 621 from the outside of the right side 601 of the support portion, the right grip portion 700 is less likely to interfere with the first game controller 1, and the first game controller 1 can be easily installed in the peripheral device 500. In addition, when the front surface of the right grip portion 700 bends backward as it moves away from the support portion 600, the installation of the game controller becomes even easier.
[0284] According to the structure described above, it is possible that a gap will be generated between the back of the game controller and the front surface of the grip portion. In this case, there is a concern that when the game controller is operated, or when the game controller is vibrating with a vibration module, the back of the game controller will collide with the front surface of the grip portion, thereby causing shaking or noise.
[0285] The peripheral device 500 according to this embodiment has an elastic member 501 (see FIG22) protruding forward from the opposing face of the right grip portion 700. Therefore, by abutting the back of the game controller against the elastic member 501, impact between the back of the game controller and the front surface of the grip portion can be suppressed. As a result, shaking or noise can be suppressed. That is, according to the peripheral device 500 of this embodiment, it is possible to make it easier to install the game controller into the peripheral device 500 with the grip portion while suppressing the generation of shaking or noise during the installation of the game controller.
[0286] According to the peripheral device 500 of this embodiment, the front end of the elastic member 501 provided on the right grip portion 700 is located behind the first recess 621. Therefore, it is possible to further make it easier to install the game controller into the peripheral device 500 with the grip portion. In addition, it is possible to suppress the sliding of the back of the game controller against the front surface of the grip portion when the game controller is attached to or detached from the peripheral device 500.
[0287] According to the peripheral device 500 of this embodiment, in the front-rear direction, the front end of the elastic member 501 is located at the same position as the rear end of the support portion 600 or at a position further forward than the rear end of the support portion 600. Therefore, while it is easy to install the game controller onto the peripheral device 500, the back of the game controller and the elastic member 501 can easily come into contact to some extent, thereby further suppressing shaking or noise generation during game controller installation.
[0288] According to the peripheral device 500 of this embodiment, the lower right elastic member piece 701 of the two right elastic member pieces 701 is located at a distance from the support portion 600 greater than the distance from the upper right elastic member piece 701. Therefore, when the game controller 1 is installed on the peripheral device 500 as shown in FIG. 39 and the first game controller 1 is brought close to the first recess 621, the lower right elastic member piece 701 first contacts the back of the first game controller 1. Therefore, sliding between the back of the first game controller 1 and the first facing surface 715 of the right grip portion 700 is suppressed during subsequent movement. Furthermore, the upper right elastic member piece 701 is located closer to the first recess 621 than the lower right elastic member piece 701 is, thus delaying the occurrence of resistance due to contact between the back of the first game controller 1 and the upper right elastic member piece 701 when the first game controller 1 is rotated and installed into the peripheral device 500. Therefore, the installation of the first game controller 1 becomes easier.
[0289] Furthermore, when the first game controller 1 is brought close to the first recess 621 by inserting the protrusion 100 into the first recess 621 in a direction perpendicular to the bottom surface of the first recess 621 so that the bottom surface of the first recess 621 is parallel to the long side direction of the protrusion 100, when the two right elastic member pieces 701 are arranged parallel to the bottom surface of the first recess 621, there is a possibility that the two right elastic member pieces 701 may simultaneously contact the back of the first game controller 1 during the installation operation. In this case, there is a concern that when resistance is applied to the first game controller 1 from the two right elastic member pieces 701 at the same time during installation, the resistance of the installation operation suddenly increases.
[0290] According to the peripheral device 500 of this embodiment, the elastic member 501 includes two right elastic member pieces 701, which are arranged in a direction that is not parallel to the direction extending from the bottom surface of the first recess 621. Two right elastic member pieces 701 are positioned at different distances from the support portion 600. Therefore, when the first game controller 1 is mounted on the peripheral device 500 as described above, the two right elastic member pieces 701 contact the back of the first game controller 1 one by one at different times. Thus, it is possible to suppress the impact of the two right elastic member pieces 701 on the first game controller 1 during installation. The resistance applied by device 1 suddenly increases.
[0291] Alternatively, with the first game controller 1 installed on the peripheral device 500, the upper side 11 of the first game controller 1 may be separated from the right side 601 of the support portion. From another perspective, the depth from the right side 601 of the support portion to the bottom surface of the first recess 621 may be deeper than the maximum height from the upper side 11 to the top surface 106 of the protrusion 100. Therefore, for example, it may be possible that the upper side 11 is not in contact with the right side 601 of the support portion when the first buffer 191 and the second buffer 192 of the first game controller are in contact with the bottom surface of the first recess 621. When the first game controller 1 is being installed on the peripheral device 500, for example, if a force is applied that causes the first game controller 1 to rotate in a forward direction with the protrusion 100 side as the center, there is a possibility that the contact point will become a fulcrum and a force toward separation may be easily applied when the upper side 11 is in contact with the right side 601 of the support portion. According to the above structure, when a force is applied that causes the first game controller 1 to rotate, the contact point between the protrusion 100 and the first recess 621 becomes a fulcrum, and the force toward separation is suppressed.
[0292] FIG40 is a rear view showing the state in which the first game controller 1 is to be removed from the peripheral device 500. As shown in FIG40, the first game controller 1 has a first operating part 182 and a push rod 181. The first operating part 182 is provided on the back of the first game controller 1. The first operating part 182 is configured to be operated in a direction including the left and right directions when the first game controller 1 is installed on the peripheral device 500. The push rod 181 protrudes from the top surface of the protrusion 100 of the first game controller 1 according to the operation of the first operation part 182.
[0293] The bottom surface of the first recess 621 includes an abutment area 621a for the push rod 181 of the first game controller 1 to abut. By pushing the abutment area 621a with the push rod 181, the first game controller 1 rotates in the second rotation direction A2 with the lower end of the protrusion 100 as the fulcrum. As a result, the magnetic button of the first game controller 1 is separated from the magnet 673 provided in the first recess 621. In particular, the upper surface button (right) 110 is further away from the magnet 673 than the upper surface button (left) 120. Therefore, the magnetic force between the upper surface button (right) 110 and the magnet 673 is particularly weak. As a result, the protrusion 100 of the first game controller 1 can be easily disengaged from the first recess 621, and the first game controller 1 can be easily removed from the peripheral device 500. Furthermore, when viewed from the right side, the grip housing 530 does not cover the first game controller 1, thus exposing it. Therefore, when the push rod pushes into the contact area, the first game controller 1 easily moves to the right. Alternatively, when the push rod 181 protrudes, the upper surface button (left) 120 does not disengage from the magnet 673.
[0294] In the vertical direction, the upper end of the right grip portion 700 is positioned below the lower end of the first operation portion 182. From another perspective, in the vertical direction, the upper surface of the grip portion housing 530 forming the right grip portion 700 is positioned below the lower end of the first operation portion 182 of the first game controller 1, which is installed on the peripheral device 500.
[0295] Therefore, it is possible to suppress interference between the finger operating the first operation portion 182 and the right grip portion 700 when the first operation portion 182 is operated.
[0296] The abutment area 621a of the first recess 621 is positioned above the center of the first recess 621 in the vertical direction. When the first operation portion 182 is operated, as the first game controller 1 rotates with the lower side of the protrusion 100 as the center, causing the upper side of the protrusion 100 to move away from the first recess 621, the finger operating the first operation portion 182 also moves downwards as it moves away from the first recess 621.
[0297] According to the peripheral device 500 of this embodiment, the upper surface of the right grip portion 700 has a portion extending in a direction parallel to the left-right direction and a portion connected to the outer end of the portion and curved downward. Since the upper surface of the right grip portion 700 has this downward-curved portion, even when the finger operating the first operation portion 182 moves downward as the first game controller 1 moves away from the first recess 621, interference between the finger and the upper surface of the right grip portion 700 is suppressed. In addition, interference between the protrusion 18 and the upper surface of the grip portion housing 530 is also suppressed. As an example, the upper surface of the right grip portion 700 has a portion that curves along the trajectory of the first operation portion 182 moving when the first game controller 1 rotates away from the first recess 621 with the protrusion 100 as the center.
[0298] According to the peripheral device 500 of this embodiment, the upper right elastic member piece 701 of the two right elastic member pieces 701 is located closer to the support portion 600 than the lower right elastic member piece 701. When the operation unit 182 is operated, the game controller rotates around the lower side of the protrusion so that the upper side of the protrusion moves away from the recess. The upper right elastic member piece 701 is located more inward than the lower right elastic member piece 701, so the contact between the back of the game controller and the upper right elastic member piece 701 is released as quickly as possible. Therefore, it is easy to detach the game controller. Specification 33 / 44 pages 39 CN 121944503 A
[0299] As shown in FIG40, the protrusion 100 of the first game controller 1 has an upper protrusion 52 and a lower protrusion 54 provided on the outer peripheral surface of the protrusion 100. The first recess 621 may also have a shape that allows the upper side to protrude when the push rod 181 protrudes. At least half of the upper side protrusion 52, for example, the entire upper side protrusion 52, is exposed from the first recess 621 by a certain depth. This reduces interference between the upper side protrusion 52 and the inner circumferential surface of the first recess 621. Therefore, after operating the first operating part 182, the protrusion 100 of the first game controller 1 can be smoothly disengaged from the first recess 621 by manual force.
[0300] As shown in FIG40, it is also possible that when the push rod 181 is fully protruding, the entire upper side protrusion 52 is exposed from the first recess 621, and a portion of the lower side protrusion 54 is not exposed from the first recess 621. Furthermore, as described above, the upper side protrusion 52 and the lower side protrusion 54 can be elastic deformable bodies or formed from the outer circumferential surface 107 of the protrusion 100.
[0301] The first recess 621 may also have a depth such that the top surface of the protrusion 100 of the first game controller 1 continues to be received entirely in the first recess 621 when the push rod 181 protrudes. At this time, pushing the rod out alone will not cause the upper and lower ends of the top surface of the protrusion 100 to emerge from the first recess 621, so the first game controller 1 and the peripheral device 500 continue to be restricted to some extent in the vertical direction. Therefore, for example, in the case where the user originally intended to operate the operating unit to remove the first game controller 1 from the peripheral device 500 but ultimately stopped removing it and reinstalled it in the peripheral device 500, the first game controller 1 can be smoothly reinstalled in the peripheral device 500.
[0302] FIG41 is a front view showing the state of the user operating the first game controller 1 and the second game controller 2. As shown in FIG41, the right grip 700 is held by the user's right hand. For example, the grip shell 530 of the right grip 700 is held by the palm, middle finger, ring finger and / or little finger of the right hand. The left grip 800 is held by the user's left hand. For example, the grip housing 530 of the left grip 800 is held using the palm, middle finger, ring finger, and / or little finger of the left hand.
[0303] The input section located on the front of the game controller is operated using the thumbs of each hand. The Z shoulder buttons and / or shoulder buttons of the game controller are operated using the index finger and / or middle finger. The grip buttons are operated using the middle finger and / or ring finger. In this way, the first game controller 1 and the second game controller 2 can be handled as if they were held and operated by both hands by being installed on the peripheral device 500. In addition, by having grip buttons on the right grip 700 and the left grip 800 respectively, not only is holding easier, but the number of input units can be substantially increased relative to the first game controller 1 and the second game controller 2. Furthermore, the fingers used for operation are exemplified; for example, in some cases, the input section located on the front of the game controller can also be operated using the index finger.
[0304] <Modified Example>
[0305] Next, the structure of the peripheral device involved in the modified example will be described. The peripheral device involved in the above embodiment is a structure that is electrically connected to the game controller, but the peripheral device may not be electrically connected to the game controller. In this case, the peripheral device may simply support the game controller, and may not have a grip button. In addition, the peripheral device may not have a charging LED component and a charging external connector. That is, the peripheral device may not have electrical components.
[0306] Furthermore, the peripheral device may also have a wireless communication unit. In this case, the peripheral device may have a grip button, and the input from the grip button may be transmitted to the game controller and the game device via the wireless communication unit. In this case, the peripheral device may at least have a charging external connector.
[0307] When the peripheral device is not electrically connected to the game controller, the peripheral device may not have a first tongue and a second tongue. However, when the peripheral device does not have a tongue, sometimes the following phenomenon occurs.
[0308] FIG42 is a partial cross-sectional schematic diagram showing the state in which the first game controller 1 is assembled to the peripheral device 500 when the support 600 does not have a tongue. As shown in FIG42, the lower end of the protrusion 100 of the first game controller 1 is embedded into the first recess 621 of the support portion 600. In this case, sometimes the upper end of the protrusion 100 of the first game controller 1 slides up to the upper part of the right side of the support portion 600 where the first recess 621 is provided. Specification 34 / 44 pages 40 CN 121944503 A
[0309] On the other hand, FIG43 is a partial cross-sectional schematic diagram showing the state in which the first game controller 1 is assembled to the peripheral device 500 when the support portion 600 has a tongue. When the first tongue 631b is aligned with the terminal opening 196 located on the terminal receiving portion 167 in the vertical direction, the first tongue 631b is embedded into the terminal opening 196. On the other hand, when the first tongue 631b is not aligned with the terminal opening 196 in the vertical direction, the first tongue 631b contacts the top surface of the protrusion 100. In this case, by moving the protrusion 100 in the vertical direction, the first tongue 631b can slide on the top surface of the protrusion 100 to align the first tongue 631b with the terminal opening 196.
[0310] The first tongue 631b can be the same shape as the tongue 332 of the game device 3 (see Figure 8) or a different shape. Furthermore, the first tongue 631b of the peripheral device according to the above embodiment is substantially the same shape as the tongue 332 of the game device 3.
[0311] Thus, the tongue 322 not only provides terminals for electrically connecting the peripheral device 500 to the game controller, but also serves as a guide when installing the game controller into the peripheral device 500. Therefore, it is also possible that even if it is not connected to the game controller, the first tongue 631b can be used as a guide. The peripheral device that is electrically connected to the device is also provided as a protrusion that serves as a guide when installing the game controller into the peripheral device, instead of the tongue.
[0312] Hereinafter, an example of the shape of the protrusion will be described in comparison with the tongue of the game device. First, the structure of the tongue will be described in more detail.
[0313] <Tongue>
[0314] FIG44 is a perspective view showing the structure of the tongue of the game device. As shown in FIG44, the game device 3 has a tongue 332. The tongue 332 is provided in the side recess 310 of the game device. The tongue 332 is inserted into the first opening 170 of the first game controller 1. The tongue 332 has a main body first terminal 331. The main body first terminal 331 is a game device terminal that is electrically connected to the game controller terminal (first terminal 160).
[0315] FIG45 is a partial cross-sectional view showing the structure of the tongue. The tongue 332 has a second front end portion 332a and a second root portion 332b. The second front end portion 332a is connected to the second root portion 332b. The second front end portion 332a is thinner than the second root portion 332b. The second front end portion 332a is linearly symmetrical with respect to the left and right direction. The second root portion 332b increases in thickness as it moves away from the second front end portion 332a. The second root portion 332b is linearly symmetrical with respect to the left and right direction. In the left and right direction, the height of the second root portion 332b (second root height F22) is less than the height of the second front end portion 332a (second front end height F21).
[0316] The thickness of the front end of the tongue body 332 (second front end thickness E21) is less than the thickness of the root portion of the tongue body 332 (second root thickness E22). The thickness of the front end of the protrusion (first front end thickness E11) is less than the thickness of the front end of the tongue body 332 (second front end thickness E21). The thickness of the root portion of the protrusion (first root thickness E12) is the same as the thickness of the root portion of the tongue body 332 (second root thickness E22).
[0317] <Protrusion>
[0318] FIG46 is a perspective view showing the structure of the protrusion of the peripheral device according to a modified example of this embodiment. As shown in FIG46, the first protrusion 631b does not have a terminal electrically connected to the game controller terminal (first terminal 160) of the first game controller 1.
[0319] FIG47 is a partial cross-sectional view showing the structure of the protrusion of the peripheral device according to a modified example of this embodiment. As shown in FIG47, the first protrusion 631b has a first front end portion 661 and a first root portion 662. The first front end portion 661 is connected to the first root portion 662. The first front end portion 661 is thinner than the first root portion 662. In the cross-section shown in FIG47, the first front end portion 661 is linearly symmetrical with respect to the left and right direction. The thickness of the first root portion 662 increases as it moves away from the first front end portion 661. In the left and right direction, the height of the first root portion 662 (first root height F12) is greater than the height of the first front end portion 661 (first front end height F11). Specification 35 / 44 pages 41CN 121944503 A
[0320] The first root portion 662 has a first root region 662a and a second root region 662b. The second root region 662b is a portion extending from the first plug base 631a and is thick to ensure strength. The thickness of the second root region 662b decreases slowly or remains constant as it moves away from the first plug base 631a. The first root region 662a is connected to the second root region 662b. The thickness of the first root region 662a decreases abruptly as it moves away from the second root region 662b. The surface of the first root region 662a is more inclined relative to the left-right direction than the surface of the second root region 662b is. The first root region 662a is connected to the first front end portion 661. In the cross-section shown in FIG31, the first root region 662a is asymmetrical relative to the left-right direction. The first root region 662a is located between the first front end portion 661 and the second root region 662b. The thickness of the first root region 662a is greater than the maximum thickness of the first front end 661 and less than the minimum thickness of the second root region 662b. The second root region 662b may also be linearly symmetrical with respect to the left and right direction. The thickness of the front end of the protrusion (first front end thickness E11) is less than the thickness of the root of the protrusion (first root thickness E12).
[0321] The first protrusion 631b has a height at which the first protrusion 631b contacts the top surface of the protrusion 100 of the first game controller 1 when the protrusion 100 of the first game controller 1 is inclined in the vertical direction relative to the first recess and a part of the protrusion 100 is inserted into the first recess. The first protrusion 631b contacts the top surface of the protrusion 100 when it is not aligned with the terminal opening 196 in the vertical direction. By moving the first game controller 1 in the vertical direction with the top surface of the protrusion 100 in contact with the first protrusion 631b, it becomes easy to align the first protrusion 631b with the terminal opening 196. It is possible to prevent the end of the protrusion 100 of the first game controller 1 from sliding up to the right side of the support portion where the first recess is provided. The second protrusion 632b provided on the left side of the support portion has substantially the same structure and effect as the first protrusion 631b.
[0322] In addition, according to the peripheral device according to this modified example, the thickness of the front end of the first protrusion 631b is less than the thickness of the front end of the tongue 332. As a result, it is possible to prevent the first terminal 160 of the first game controller 1 from contacting the first protrusion 631b when the protrusion 100 of the first game controller 1 has been installed in the first recess of the peripheral device.
[0323] In addition, according to the peripheral device according to this modified example, the thickness of the root of the first protrusion 631b is the same as the thickness of the root of the tongue 332. As a result, the strength of the first protrusion 631b can be maintained at a high level.
[0324] Furthermore, the shape of the protrusion described above is one example, and other shapes are also possible. For example, the protrusion may have a constant thickness from the root to the front end. Alternatively, for example, the protrusion may have a shape that thins at a constant rate from the root to the front end. Additionally, the protrusion may not have a portion that is linearly symmetrical with respect to the left and right directions.
[0325] As another variation, the peripheral device 500 may have a right grip button and a left grip button, but may not have a charging LED component and a charging external connector. Alternatively, the peripheral device 500 may have a charging external connector, but may not have a right grip button and a left grip button.
[0326] Alternatively, the first game controller 1 and the second game controller 2 may not have an operating section and a push rod that protrudes from the top surface of the protrusion according to the operation of the operating section.
[0327] Alternatively, the first game controller 1 and the second game controller 2 may not have a protrusion that protrudes from the back.
[0328] The peripheral device 500 may also have a processor (not shown). The processor may, for example, be able to read an application program to perform information processing. Peripheral device 500 may also have a wireless communication unit (not shown). Peripheral device 500 may also transmit and receive data with game controller via the wireless communication unit. The wireless communication unit may also support communication methods such as Bluetooth (registered trademark) or infrared communication. Peripheral device 500 may also transmit and receive data with information processing device other than game controller via the wireless communication unit.
[0329] Alternatively, in the front-rear direction, the front end of the elastic member may be located at the same position as the recess or at a position further forward than the recess. Specification 36 / 44 pages 42 CN 121944503 A
[0330] Alternatively, in the front-rear direction, the front end of the elastic member may be located at a position further rear than the support portion.
[0331] Peripheral device may also not have an elastic member.
[0332] The upper surface of the grip housing 530 may also be located at a position higher than the protrusion and the operation portion.
[0333] The grip module and the support portion may not be separate components. For example, the housing on the rear side of the support portion and the front housing of the grip portion may be integrally formed. Alternatively, the right portion of the support and the right outer shell may be integrally formed, and the left portion of the support and the left outer shell may be integrally formed, and they are connected.
[0334] The right side and the left side of the support may not be parallel. In this case, the first game controller and the second game controller installed on the support may not be parallel to each other.
[0335] The abutting area in the peripheral device 500 may be located at the center of the recess in the vertical direction of the recess, or it may be located at a position lower than the center.
[0336] In other embodiments, the recess of the peripheral device may not have an abutting area. As an example, it may also beYes, the protruding push rod is inserted into the hole provided in the recess, thereby not abutting against the recess.
[0337] In other embodiments, the grip housing may cover the game controller when viewed from the side.
[0338] In other embodiments, the peripheral device has a facing surface facing the back of the game controller, but it may not have a grip structure. Specifically, the peripheral device may also consist of a recess for embedding the game controller, a support portion having a magnet for attracting the game controller's magnetic buttons by magnetic force, a facing surface facing the back of the game controller already mounted on the peripheral device, and an elastic member protruding forward from the facing surface. Thus, it is possible to easily mount the game controller to the peripheral device 500, and to suppress jitter or wobbling by means of the elastic member protruding forward from the facing surface.
[0339] In other embodiments, the peripheral device may not have a gripping part or an opposing surface facing the back of the game controller. Instead, it may consist of a recess into which the protrusion of the game controller is inserted, a support part with a magnet for the game controller's magnetic buttons to be attracted by magnetic force, and a protrusion that protrudes from the bottom surface of the recess and is inserted into the opening of the game controller already installed on the peripheral device, but does not have a terminal that is electrically connected to the game controller's terminal. Thus, the protrusion can be used to align the recess and the protrusion. Furthermore, the peripheral device may have other fixing structures instead of magnets, or it may not have fixing structures.
[0340] In other embodiments, either the first game controller 1 or the second game controller 2 may be installed on the peripheral device. In addition, when both the first game controller 1 and the second game controller 2 are installed on the peripheral device, it is not limited to the method of installing the support part sandwiched in the middle. In addition, in other embodiments, the peripheral device may not have magnets. The mechanism for fixing the game controller to the support part is not limited, for example, a snap-fit device may be used.
[0341] All aspects of the embodiments disclosed herein should be considered exemplary and not limiting. The scope of the invention is shown by the claims rather than by the foregoing description, and is intended to include all modifications within the meaning and scope equivalent to the claims.
