Abstract

The system for collaborative writing and visualization of narrative branching of stories allows users to create and share non-linear stories via an interactive platform (100) via a web application on their screen (200). Each story is visualized as a graph with nodes (300), where each node represents a page of the story, and branches (600) connect different directions of plot development. The system allows multi-user simultaneous or asynchronous participation in the development of stories, while the graphical user interface (400) facilitates the overview of the entire narrative. Users can read stories in READ mode (400) to follow the plot linearly or use Map view (500) to view and interact with different branches of the story. The system also allows users to track their progress by coloring the read path (600), which visually displays the path through the story. The basic parts of the system include an interactive platform (100), user devices (200) with mobile or web applications (400), and algorithms for monitoring user interactions and visualizing narratives. Stories are displayed through a home screen (200) in the form of sparkling dots, and additional story data is available through a popup window (700).
