Abstract
The present invention describes a device for simulating engagement when testing the roots of gear teeth. According to the present invention, the gear to be tested is fixed to a device with another identical gear on two shafts. One shaft is connected to a servomotor and the other shaft is connected to a loading device in the form of a lever on which a weight is suspended. By using this device, the gears are constantly under real load, and using the servomotor, the engagement travel is simulated first over the previous and then over the tested tooth, after which it returns to its original position and then the process is repeated. The device has the ability to monitor the load on both shafts and rotation via 4 encoders. By the difference between the initial and final relationship between the entered and achieved load on the shafts and for the same achieved displacements measured via the encoder, it is possible to observe the occurrence of damage in the tooth root.Temelj za ovu pretpostavku leži u činjenici da će se zub s oštećenjem više deformirati od zuba bez oštećenja, a uslijed djelovanja istog opterećenja. The present invention describes a device for simulating meshing when testing the root of gear tooth. According to the present invention, the gear to be tested is fixed to a device with another identical gear on two shafts. By using this device, the gears are constantly under real load, and the servomotor simulates the engagement travel first over the previous and then over the tested tooth, after which it returns to its original position and then the process is repeated. The device has the ability to monitor the load on both shafts and rotation via 4 encoders.By the difference between the initial and final relationship between the entered and achieved load on the shafts and for the same achieved displacements measured via the encoder, it is possible to observe the occurrence of damage in the tooth root. The basis for this assumption lies in the fact that a tooth with damage will deform more than a tooth without damage, due to the action of the same load.
