Abstract

The control unit for high-altitude balloons is intended for military and civilian use. The control unit keeps the balloon at a given altitude, preventing it from rising to a critical height at which it bursts due to the difference in pressures inside and outside the balloon. The control unit for high-altitude balloons comprises two main parts: the electromechanical part and the control part, which comprise the upper housing (1) containing the electrovalve (7) with a direct current power supply (10) and the lower housing (2) containing the microcomputer (3) with sensors (4) and a direct current power supply (6). The microcomputer controls the electrovalve which regulates the amount of gas in the balloon depending on the set and reached altitude and releases the excess gas through the pipes (8). In this way, the user is enabled to keep the payload at a certain altitude for a longer period of time.
