Ecological wood adhesive

Abstract

The subject of the invention is an ecological adhesive without the presence of formaldehyde, intended for gluing chipboard and other wood composites. The adhesive consists of a mixture of polyvinyl acetate (PVA), pine resin, water glass and methyl alcohol in mass percentages: PVA 30-40%, pine resin 30-40%, water glass 10-20%, and methyl alcohol 10-20%. The components are homogenised under vacuum conditions at a temperature of 30-40°C and a pressure of 0.5-1 bar, which achieves a stable and viscous mixture suitable for industrial use. The adhesive provides high bond strength and moisture resistance, without the emission of harmful gases. The invention relates to the field of ecological bonding agents in the wood industry, especially for use in the production of furniture and interior elements made of chipboard.
